Watching the cave dweller constantly stalk you was horrifying. I wonder if you could’ve somehow lured the warden to attack him instead though. Would be interesting to try.
In case you were wondering how was it able to get into your basement, the cave dweller was made to crawl through small spaces so you need to build a wall with no open spaces if you want to block it's way.
That's next level ngl. Freaked me out!

Fun fact: Mineshafts are the worst place to encounter the dweller because he won’t get stuck in the webs, and slowed by the bars, but you will (plus mineshafts are already eerie enough)
Shadows first escape was nerve wracking him getting slowed by the water whew. I'm pretty sure Sean wouldn't have made it out xD
I got super lucky! Didnt want to risk running farther into the mineshaft.

I swear Gargin (mod maker) is a master of horror. He made a video detailing his thinking while making this mod and I highly suggest you watch it.

The Cave Dweller AI is also sort of a revision of the Gargitron AI, which was his nextbot that he also made a video on.

It's so small but moments like those really do add a whole lot! And it just shows how great editors can be! As someone who notices great camera shots even from old movies, it amazes me how such simple edits like that can make a great shot!
Even though this wasn’t about the Warden in my opinion it was way more tense in that small cave going in circles 😂

This was the best video I've seen on the mod so far and definitely earned a subscribe. The fact you chose to play this with the eyes in the dark mod aswell was even better. I think most of all though the Warden actually proved to be the most tense part of all this. Mojang made sure their horror contribution wasn't so easily outshined

Thank you for making this video. Between all the ones that have been recently released, yours is unique and special.
I like that it's 43min long, and not jus 6min like all others, I like that you ended up doing very few cuts and exploring Deep Dark biome, and the Shaders are also pleasant to look at in gameplay. Only thing you should mention is that those floating eyes in the dark are from another mod, which is not the cave dweller, but the "Eyes in the darkness" mod.
I recommend getting a better spider mod to go with your other atmospheric mods. It basically just gives the spiders the ability to climb better and have their climbing factor into their pathfinding. Honestly impossible for me to go back once I discovered that mod.

Cave Dweller should be a staple for any minecraft game now. This just adds such an amazing feel to the game that really makes exploring caves feel far more rewarding than a simple tedious endeavor.

this modpack mixed with the herobrine datapack from the fog would be insanely creepy and cool at the same time. imagine your torches turning to redstone when youre trying ti navigate around to keep an eye on the dweller, etcetc. awesome video shadow, loving all your content, such a blast and makes my day
Funny thing is that Forge Labs did this with other friends, Shadow could've joined him in the hunt but instead did it alone.
We both recorded without knowing each other did it lol

I personally find it relaxing. Good supply of food, and (with the right rod) you can get insane loot. I've gotten Frost Walker 2, and a number of other decent books just from fishing in one of my worlds. It requires patience, so I can see why it isn't for everyone.
I remember playing this mod for the first time, I thought "Oh this is cool, it shouldn't be too bad, lets make it worse" and added the True Darkness mod on top of it. Never again. Never... Again...

A fun watch. I got worried when the Warden showed up. Now, what would've made this even scarier is Hardcore. There ain't no coming back from that one.
I'm 29 and this is still fairly entertaining. A bit exaggerated, but enjoyable. Shadow's decision anxiety is a relatable vibe.
Before I started to see playthroughs pop up of the mod actually being used, I remember watching the video of how the maker of the mod created the cave dweller when it originally came out and it's actually interesting to watch people play it once you know how the coding system works like the triggers and stuff and how some things are random and how some have specifications. It's so cool!!

The warden and the cave dweller are a terrifying combo!I would literally have a heart attack if the warden was accidentally summoned while the cave dweller is about.
I don’t think he liked light from what i saw. So maybe if you lit your area up you would be able to deter him. He also seemed like a nice fellow when he was stalking
That moment around the 19 minute mark when the creature disappeared, I noticed it the moment he looked away, truly unnerving
