  • Fantastic! These cars were the the best you could buy! Cadillac also offered the V16 model 452. The V12 engine is smooth and quiet with plenty of low end torque. Brakes are mechanical with vacuum assist. These cars are recognized as "Full Classics" by the Classic Car Club of America.

Tell me whatever you want, but in my opinion there are no modern cars with the elegance and class of these beauties. This is a truly masterpiece.

John Capidecallu, I like the look of older cars, but I also like modern power and capabilities. I’d get one of those and put a corvette drivetrain in it. Power steering, power brake, auto trans, ac, the works. But that’s just me.

Superb driving skills with those straight cut gears and non-synchro trans. Wonderful post, I enjoyed my ride.

It is so nice to see someone drive this car properly. So many videos show people beating on the car and trying to turn the wheel when standing still. Thank you for taking care of that excellent car.

Most Cadillac V-12 and V-16 models were sold in the 1930 and 1931 model years. Then the Great Depression worsened and sales of those premium models significantly decreased. Starting in the mid-1930s, both Cadillac and LaSalle V-8 models became more of a mass-produced car than earlier and shared components and body panels with cheaper GM cars in order to lower prices. Sales of both the V-12 and V-16 models were minuscule by that time but had more exclusive coachwork. Some of them had unique bodies by custom designers. The materials were always first-rate and the paint was rubbed to a mirror finish. The Lincoln Model L and K are also interesting but rarer.

This really needs to be done again with someone shooting with a REAL Camera not a cell phone. And with open windows looking out the windshield. A very nice car you have.

Before the advent of the automobile the carriages that were pulled by horses were designed in an elegant way. The first cars were more horseless carriage than car. You can still sill see the carriage design. In fact, cars from 1900 to 1931 were basically horse drawn carriages on wheels connected to a motor and drive train. In the mid to late 1930s cars began to move further away from their carriage design roots.

Really nice.... but the transmission gear whine in first and second.. surprised me a bit. I have to wonder if they're helically cut.

Magnificent, these cars shouldn't be just museum pieces, they should be driven and enjoyed. You can't drive the vehicle, you can't touch the vehicle, you can't sit in the vehicle, I dont care if its the Bugatti type 41 known as the Royal. If people didn't want to drive a car Shi% they should of made a statue instead. A car could cost $60 Million it's still a car its meant for one thing to DRIVE. Oh this Cadillac is Spectacular Sir thinks for the wonderful review of you doing what some other collectors don't do is DRIVE these beasts.

You seem to love the classics of the 30s American, clean muffler and engine clean you washed all the parts, I thought that you have a 1931 car inside rusty, but seeing the cleanliness I realized that you washed this old woman

What a beautiful machine. Such elegance and complication and craftsmanship put into this monstrosity, all I can say is that, that is a marvelous work of fine machinery.

Had to convert all your values! Fahrenheit, Gallons, Pounds and Miles! So your day was hot at 35 Celsius and I agree that is fairly warm. 55MPH is about 90km/h and forget about the gallons...not sure how many litres that is! Nice to see the car. That distributor cap looks very similar to the one on my Daimler V12. Very nice.

Wow, guy has a 9 minute video supposedly about this car and he talks about anything else for a minute and a half before starting. Like we care about the friggin' weather that day or how his day has been. That's exactly what i want to hear about when viewing the video a year and a half later...
