This was the first pencil I ever turned so a bit nervous. Your instructions helped me to produce a perfect shop pencil for my daughter-in-law. Thank you, Beautiful.

I ENJOYED THE VIDEO THANKS JEN - ONE THOUGHT WHET THROUGH MY MIND WHILE I WATECHED - WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS WITH 2 BARRELS - IF YOU CUT THE WOOD THE WENGTH OF THE 2 BARRELS PLUS THE DISTANCE OF THE CENTRE COUPLER THAT IS VISABNLE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS PENCIL OUT OF ONE PIECE OF WOOD - THINK I WILL TRY IT TOMORROW AGAIN I ENJOYED YOUR PRESENTATION JEN BILL

Nice project Jenn, enjoyed this content.
I like using my drill press to install small bearings I find it easier on my back I don't have to work hunched over my bench.
And when pressing thin tubes I use a mandrel to support them.

I'm Impressed !!! I also turn pens. My favorite is the Classica from Woodturners USA. I've even made a pen with Johnny Cash US Postage stamps that I cast in plastic resin and turned on the lathe.

Love the wood grain. I've been getting into using different wood species for knife scales. Still learning but I love it. I've always been interested in wood turning and that's a great project. Yet another area of expertise you can cover. Your channel just gets more interesting! Nice work

2&1/2 years post video. GREAT JOB!
Just got a lathe, and looking for projects. I find that pen turning is catching my interest.
I really like the woodworkers pencil. I normally rely on a carpenter's pencil for woodwork projects, but you have just shown me a viable alternative that I can do for myself with my new lathe - and one that I would be proud of.
    Thanks.
