This was the first pencil I ever turned so a bit nervous. Your instructions helped me to produce a perfect shop pencil for my daughter-in-law. Thank you, Beautiful.
Glad I could help!
Awesome job Jen Migwech
+Kirk McCutcheon Thanks Kirk!

Glad you enjoyed it!
KINDA KOOL GOOD JOB
+DriveShaft Drew Thanks Drew!
I ENJOYED THE VIDEO THANKS JEN - ONE THOUGHT WHET THROUGH MY MIND WHILE I WATECHED - WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS WITH 2 BARRELS - IF YOU CUT THE WOOD THE WENGTH OF THE 2 BARRELS PLUS THE DISTANCE OF THE CENTRE COUPLER THAT IS VISABNLE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS PENCIL OUT OF ONE PIECE OF WOOD - THINK I WILL TRY IT TOMORROW AGAIN I ENJOYED YOUR PRESENTATION JEN BILL
The pen looks awesome, great job!
+Rendezvous Thanks! It works great and looks good too.
Where I get to find this pencils to buy? Thank you.

+Jim Schoeller Thanks Jim!
Wonderful video..love your style.
+mike smith Thanks Mike!
Unfortunately my wood working skills have not progressed much beyond the wood butcher stage. Really like the pencil. Would also be interested if you decide to sell them.
+Rob Berntson Thanks Rob! I'll be making more this summer so I'll let you guys know when I have some up for grabs.
very cool and it is beautiful!
+Maurice Powers Thanks Maurice. I like how it turned out.
Nice project Jenn, enjoyed this content.
I like using my drill press to install small bearings I find it easier on my back I don't have to work hunched over my bench.
And when pressing thin tubes I use a mandrel to support them.
+Scott Russell Great idea with the mandrel!
Awesome video Jen, very methodical and a beautiful pencil at the end :)
Thanks Terry!
That's a cool wood turning setup for production work. Your skill set is great awesomeness but you should get a few more better mandrel's made up that are securely supported on both ends.👍
+HRM Weapons Machinist Thanks! Will look into that. Thanks for watching!
Cool project. Hope you decide to sell some.
+Keith L Thanks Keith. I'll let you guys know when I have made more to sell.
Ya got a winner there, Jen, Ya won't be able to keep them in inventory ATB Terry God Bless
+T.W. Milburn Gonna have to open the yam factory soon! Lol
Nice job. Be careful pressing in threaded components. I have ruined a few then learned to put softer material between press points. Can save the day.
+Edwin Leach Great idea! Thank you.
I'm Impressed !!! I also turn pens. My favorite is the Classica from Woodturners USA. I've even made a pen with Johnny Cash US Postage stamps that I cast in plastic resin and turned on the lathe.
Wow! That is amazing. Your postage stamp pen would have been an interesting project to see. :)
Woohoo, I've been waiting for this video since you posted something about it on Facebook!
+Stand Sure Homesteading I hope you enjoyed it. These projects are lots of fun!
Very interesting indeed. I'm sure they'd sell. :-)
+Locks Bog Thank you!
Very nice! If you decide to make and sell a pen, please let me know. Thank you for sharing!
+Paul D. Green Thanks Paul! I'll be making a few more over the summer. I'll let you know if I have enough to sell.
TheWildYam Ok, thank you!

+Victor Hébert Thanks Victor. I'll be making more this summer so I'll let you know if I have some to sell later.

+Stalker Steve LOL. I laughed at myself too when I heard me say the counter. Didn't want to re-film. Ya, we can work out a trade!
@@TheWildYam As an Ontario native I recognized the Beau's shirt immediately!
@@bokket3721 Ha ha ! Best beer!
Love the wood grain. I've been getting into using different wood species for knife scales. Still learning but I love it. I've always been interested in wood turning and that's a great project. Yet another area of expertise you can cover. Your channel just gets more interesting! Nice work
+Todd Roelens Thanks Todd. The wood I used in this project is zebrawood. I said tiger wood in the video. There are so many cool kinds of wood varieties out there for projects.
2&1/2 years post video. GREAT JOB!
Just got a lathe, and looking for projects. I find that pen turning is catching my interest.
I really like the woodworkers pencil. I normally rely on a carpenter's pencil for woodwork projects, but you have just shown me a viable alternative that I can do for myself with my new lathe - and one that I would be proud of.
Thanks.
Good job Lady ! I have been turning pens for about two years but have never tried turning a shop pencil ! Will try turning one this week ! Have a good week ! 👍🌷
It is lots of fun and fairly easy. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your reply ! Have a good weekend ! 👍🌷
Very nice! love the wood used. Thanks
Thank you! Have a great week.
