  • A review of the Dzungar Bow by Sarmat Archery.
You can find them under sarmatarchery.com.
I am not sponsored of affiliated with them in any way except as a customer and I payed for the product with my own money.
I am not an expert in archery but a mere enthusiast so take what I say with a grain of salt and keep in mind my technique is, at best, that of a novice.
NOTE: I said “110 dollars INCLUDING shipping”, what I meant was 110 Dollars plus shipping cost.
Happy shooting and all the best
    Simon

Great review Simon thanks for this. I'm considering buying a bamboo bow from Sarmat and the Dzungar was on the top of my list. I want a light DW bow for garden shooting and improving my form
I had a Tughai glass backed Bow from them previously which was amazing.
    Happy shooting! ☺️

I am glad you enjoyed it!
It is a great bow especially given the price.
While it obviously is not recommended I regularly draw it to 34 inches and the bow does not mind at all.
Overall it is also very forgiving in general.
I also wish you happy shooting!
      All the best!

That's a nice looking bow, it seems well worth the money.

I can definitely recommend it. I still have it though I don't regularly shoot it as the drawweight is lower then what I enjoy these days. Still use it if I show someone new how to shoot a bow!

How did yours hold up. Any delaminating . I had the Mamai and it has slight but I definitely think I overdrawn it. Great value of money though

      Thank you very much.
Sounds like a good choice, I considered that bow aswell!
I am indeed, mostly learning from Justin Ma's videos and books. I am fairly new to it however and tend to use a Manchu thumbring instead of other styles or rings.

@@simonlauber9014 I used a Manchu ring ...once....it flew half as far as the arrow.

@@mniwichoni7324 It is quite difficult with the fitup, it really needs to be _just_ right and since the thumb's diameter varies during the day etc. It is tricky, at least for me. I make mine myself.

@@simonlauber9014 Yeah, my favorite ring is one I made out of PVC. I got the idea from the Backyard Bowyer. After purchasing and trying several others, I have always gone back to that one. It is hard to beat a fit that is molded to your thumb.

Great video. Thank you for posting an honest review. It is annoying watching "reviews" just to hear almost the same thing for every bow because they are getting bows for free or discounted and want to keep getting more bows. I can sum up almost every Armir Hirmir review. Good bow, some have handshock, some dont, overall a good bow. All bows rated high and usually only differ on packaging. I dont want a sugar coated handjob. I want to know everything before I spend money.

      Thank you very much.
While I like Armin Hirmer I do understand what you mean.
It is less helpful when every bow reviewed ends up with the same results
As for the Dzungar I can say that I still regularly shoot it and it has not developed any problems.
There is a tiny bit of twist but that is due to my stringing it and does not affect the performance at all.

@@simonlauber9014 Thank you for the update. I appreciate it. If anything ever comes up it would be awesome if you could pin a comment or something. Honest reviews are getting harder to come by it seems.
