Came to have a look at the old Jacobs Jr. High School. Stayed for the entire video because the music was so good. Thank you for capturing this bit of history. Nostalgic, indeed.
I went to Zoe school for 4 years. 1990-1993. Great friends and memories. I can’t believe that people trash everything. I remember Mr. Drake who was the History teacher. He was really a great guy. Probably the only person who seemed to care truly and believed in us. And who would bust us for smoking. I wonder what happened to him. I would tell him thank you.
I went to this school. It's Jacob's Junior high. It was not turned into Zoe Barnum continuation school until near the end of the schools useful life. It's very sad to see the school in its present condition. I had my first girlfriend there, we used to sit in art class and listen to the Peter Frampton album. Cheerleaders woud do rallys on the grass area at the end of the courtyard. Thanks for making this video and giving me some memories.
bwood454 Very cool memories. I remember playing midnight basketball in 2001. I believe it was still Zoe Barnum High then. Do you know when it changed names ?
Nostalgic Zone I'm sorry I don't know when the school changed names. I moved away from Eureka in 1981. I was in town a couple months ago and stopped by and took some pics but was unable to access the courtyard area. I attended Jacob's from 74 to 76. When I attended they did not have the posts with heavy chain surrounding the lawn. Those were put up after some stupid asshole thought it would be fun to take his 1971 Chevelle and do donuts on the grass. That jerk was me and resulted in paying to have the lawn repaired and the school district putting up the heavy chain to protect the lawn from any other idiots.
I lived a block away from this school for ten years and I'm o ly thirteen I wish I could have seen it before it was abandoned bit this place has a lot of memories for me. I looked up this video because there are cars over there and people hammering and drilling and if they take it down imma be so sad😪
Makes me sad to see it "forgotten". I graduated 2001 from Zoe. We may have been labeled bad kids but we had pride in what was ours! This school helped me grow into the person I am now.

I lived a couple houses away on McCullen street during the closer in 2008 through 2009. What a trip seeing the change between that time
