Oh, this really was hard to hear... you walking down the road to get a gas bottle and finding the shop sold out! I know the feeling of wanting to celebrate a bit of good fortune!
Greetings Just viewed a half dozen of your vlogs, but I really have not learned much about your “Lost glazing techniques”? I really haven’t even watched you painting anything yet. Maybe I’am just getting impatient? Are you still painting? Did you film a smaller piece of art from start to finish using your techniques that I could watch? Take care Phil
Hello Constance, I guess I am a poor educator. I've spent many years of self discovery learning how to do this technique. I have never been to art school or indeed had any lessons I am completely self taught. The purpose of these videos 17 in total was just to explain the bits that until now were virtually impossible for somebody learning on their own. I'm now aware that the attention span on education videos is short........just give me the info I want and lets get going!. This style of painting requires patience and the exhibition on part 17 took me many weeks of slogging away in my studio, it is a hard job. I find it impossible to talk and paint at the same time and for detail I hold my breath lol. I am now retired but may put out some drawing techniques later in the year. Please carry on with your efforts, I hope I haven't in any way discouraged you. Good luck, Phi'
@@phildavies6119 thank you for responding. What vlogs I watched I did enjoy, and I believe I could have learned a great deal from you on glazing And your color applications and processes, maybe to complicated. I have been self searching and trying to learn. But, Find it hard with health issues to really start these later years, but still trying to learn by watching an listening. Don’t you bother yourself about me, take care of yourself, God Bless. Be Happy
@@constance9789 And God Bless to you Constance. I found that learning to play and studying harmony from the great jazz players gave me a much better appreciation of what I was listening to at a jazz festival. Visiting an exhibition after studying these techniques may contribute to your enjoyment of the great works. Hope your health improves for you to do this.
@@phildavies6119 I love Jazz (I think) send me some additional information or web site links so I can hear what ‘you’ are listening too. It’s rainy and damp hear today Thanks again, Blessings Phil
