  • Hey guys. I decided to do a slowed down and up close box braid tutorial to explain to whoever needs a detailed tutorial on how to grip the roots to box braids.

    Fun fact : It took me like 2 years to learn box braids. Every persons way didn’t work for me so I found one I liked

The tucking part is easy just maintain the natural hair under the braiding hair at all times while braiding it go slow if you need to and when you get to the end of the natural hair add a lil edge control or something like that to the natural hair to tuck it away
      for good .

    i had a hard time gripping the hair because the weave would always slip down while i braid but this really helped me a lot

      her technique is very different and looks very secure vs tight. I always seem to not grip as well which is why i thought this video was helpful. Can i do it? NO but will i keep watching and trying? YES"!

    My hair is so silky and naturally curly it's like baby texture and no matter how many ways I have braided by braids in even the crochet braid in does not work they still slip... This is Awesome so thank you!!! I got it now! 😂❤️

    I actually love this method, I had to practice on myself to get it . . The splitting part is really helpful. My old method wasn’t working for me anymore.

    i like this methid, i def need to try it, bc i love how the natural hair and weave is intertwined at the root. this is a new methid for me, im happy i rewatch videos to catch the methods used and yours by far look so accurate for the braid to last longer, ill keep this method in mind, thank you

    Girl im sooooooooooo[oooooooooo glad i saved this video.
    The roots of my braids arw lookimg crazyyyyyy. I took out a braid and tried tour technique and after the 2nd try it looks 90% better.

    Probably the best teaching wise I’ve seen But if you’re a beginner like me what I’ve realised is that initially you actually split the client’s hair into two then you use your pink and further divide one of the sections again (making it three) before then tucking that strand behind. Sounds really confusing but it’s improved my grip

    Okay I need help...I do the 3 part grip and do the exact same thing but it's like 2 parts of it will be pulled and one part is not gripped as tight as the other pieces...its like I cant it the 3 parts equally pulled in the braid ..its stressful 😫
