Debussy's inspiration for the piece was a poem by the same name by Leconte de Lisle. Do you think there is a connection between the poem and the piano piece?

They are imageable. Readers and audiences might imagine themselves in front of the impressionist paintings like Auguste Renoir's. More than 'beautiful,' the performance pictures a girl with warmth, smile and peace.

One of the greatest pianists alive. I like his Debussy even more than his Bach. Good taste, no mannerisms or romanticisms, no jumping up and down on the piano bench and making silly grimaces like so many other pianists do. There's the "clarté française" Debussy (and Ravel) wanted to.
In my opinion the best Debussy since Michelangeli.

the prelude was inspired by images from the childhood of the composer and the nostalgia to the time of innocence and simplicity.the metaphoric implication of the soft-silky flaxen hair aimed to depicting how love could be in a world lacking obstacles and barriers.hence the music came in such an easy flow of chords .

Very interesting. If you search for the poet Charles-Marie Leconte de Lisle, you'll find a poem by him titled "La fille aux cheveux de lin".

OMG so beautiful! With his characteristic stillness, super sensitive tone and the surreal, impressionistic lighting (which I think was a distraction for performers but he seemed ok for that), I was totally immersed in this incredible two-and-a-half-minute fantasy!

I wish he had taken more time on some places, it felt a bit rushed. I am also a fan of the left pedal wich did seem like it could have been used at some points in this piece to make it milder

    1:21👍 ; 現在突然學起魔術方塊,要照本宣科簡單地多,但那看似複雜的解法,是怎麼想出來的呢?就好像作曲家是如何抓到物體、萬物的規律呢?

if you didn't know Debussy was an impressionist era composer. In the impressionist era the art wasn't limited to music, famous artists such as Calude Monet, Edgar Degas and others. If you look at these paintings you might see something in this video that I did too. The camera angles and lights make it look like he is being painted in an impressionist style. Truly incredible.
