A good effort, certainly, and a good tempo too. I think it could be much more exciting, however, if the choir made more of the dynamism of Mendelssohn's lines that begin very small, rapidly gather strength, and break over the listener like tidal waves. In general, the mezzo-pianos, pianos, and pianissimos need to be smaller and grow to match the force of the cataclysms that the text and the accompaniment are endeavoring to paint. Then at the mention of "a still, small voice" the choir needs to come down to an ethereal and intense softness, shaping its lovely phrases within that. We need to feel the fluttering of the dove's wings as it hovers overhead. Also, every time the unison statement of the title is sung it needs to open up a vast and mysterious space, out of which the huge waves form, break, and recede.
