Ok so i'm guessing the second deleted shot with Max on the roof has to do with either 1- The Grinch crashing off the roof when he first attempts to rob a house as seen in the script or 2- The deleted cat scene because in the script IT WAS MAX who sent the cat to attack him. Best guesses i got here
