That dudes play is extremely fast but Stevie's parts were way more enjoyable to listen to. Speed is not the most important aspect of technique.
Steve has the whole deal. Creativity, awesome style and he is also fast AF. When you are extremely fast anyway, becoming faster is cool, but won't make big difference.
Having said that, let's also say that Davide kicks about a million asses as well.

If the next generation of guitarist inspired to play like you Stevie I really think it would be a huge shot in the arm to rock and metal. When it comes to writing solos I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head that writes a better "solo to compliment the song." This may just be my opinion but there is something truly special about your playing.

As a Heavy Metal singer/composer, in my (humble) opinion:
Speed + technique = Davide
Melody + technique = Stevie
Anyway, both are great playing guitar... 🦊🤘🏻🎼🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🇧🇷

Stevie always writes his parts far better than alot of other musicians. The way he puts the pieces together usually end up sounding amazing. Playing "techniques" on the other hand, over and over sounds just like that. All techniques and no feel/emotion. I know that sounds cliche but its true. I remember seeing a roommate do these awesome shreds he practiced over and over, but then we all started just jamming and he had no idea how to actually play the guitar anymore XD

It's the difference between someone who plays piano really well reading sheet music but can't just "play"... Music isn't just knowledge or muscle memory... It's so cliché but music just flows from l... It comes from a very different part of you

Yes, absolutely! I was just saying something along these lines. I would choose Stevie as the guitarist in my band 100/100 times over someone who lightning shreds. Stevie would compliment the band and make it far better than the sum of its parts.
So true. I once knew this guy who taught guitar lessons. He could play scales, arpeggios, whatever. But he actually had no rythm at all. We started jamming and he sucked ass. Lol

Honestly, I'd also prefer your playing, Steve, because its melodic and sounds very emotional. I think your speed while playing the guitar is also very high; I'm sure there are not so many guitarists who can play as fast as you can. But I like it that you use it in a certain moment to decorate the piece of music you're playing, not spamming it all the time.
