I still love my ole kenworth. Now that im retired and pulling my fifthwheel camper with it i think it will last till i pass. Cheaper than spending 90k on a 35 or 4500 to pull it. Awesome! But one thing it needs to have is an APU. Like an RV genset. Batteries can only last so long and unless one idles the engine for extended periods that won’t be for long. And a genset can power electric block heaters as well as the HVAC, so less risk of fire from an FFCH.
Right? I have not seen an "all new design" for last 15 years. An all new design to me would be if they started offering a tiny shower where one of the cabinets/storage is. I could use the top/upper bunk for storage instead, but I would much rather have a easily accessible shower anytime i want.
Just curious, how hard would it be to install a small shower where one of the cabinets is? I would rather have that and have single bed and use top bunk section for storage.
The problem though is the fact that with these short wheelbases, you'd need to get rid of one fuel tank to house the fresh, grey, and blackwater tanks, pumps, water heater and plumbing. All of these would also come with a significant weight penalty too, so now you'd need heavier axles.

They really fucked up the storage on this one. Volvo should not offer a fridge because they suck!
