I would argue that the coop "bottle treats 5000 gallons" is actually a lie the way that many people run their tanks... whereas Hector's dose will work for my loaded tanks, including the mangrove. So there's probably less price discrepancy than you'd think at first glance
I recently found your channel. I learn something new almost every time. I am not a new fish keeper by any means. Aqua scape is my new love in the hobby. Fish has always been my focus. Now, I am learning plants, and all that involves. Thank you for the help making my journey easier.
A lot of the ferts do not like being used in conjunction with water changes, so I see that being a big plus that you can use an actual all in one for your weekly water changes. Pretty cool
I use Hector's for my planted tanks and have seen great results. Haven't personally tested it with swords, but crypts LOVE it (Stratum, Flourite, no root tabs). I am a lazy aquarist and the fewer bottles/jars I have to open, the better.
Never heard of this one I've been using easy green and thrive with potassium supplement on the side 😅❤
keep up the good work bentley thanks dude 🙏🙏
I've been looking for a review of this stuff! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, it's definitely great to hear about options. 😊
Thanks for the review, it's an interesting product. I love the idea of an all-in-one dry fertilizer.
Great review, Bentley, as usual! You asked what we use. I mix from Dry with the canisters from GLA. It is a bit more on the front end, but will last years. Plus, you can dial in more intense or more diluted dosing to your specific needs. I'll likely never go back.
Please get the Greg Sage ferts and let us know how they work! I've been looking at the fertilizer he offers and thinking about trying it.
My tank doesn't like the extra nitrogen from easy green. Leaf zone works great in low tech.
Wondered about this stuff. Didn’t spend much more than a quick glance at it. Thought it was just made to put in gel tablets to make root tabs. Interesting. Thanks for the review
Primarily easy green, but have had Greg Sages around for a while, just started using.
Love if you did an updated tanks walkthrough tour!
Pretty please 🙏🏼
It's coming!
Great review. I have been using Greg Sage's Rapid Grow for years. I changed the formula for mixing it but that is the best part. You can mix it as strong or weak as you need it. Can't wait to see what you think of it 👍👍👍
Do you have any videos on Greg Sage's Rapid Grow. I bought some but haven't used it yet.
I have not but I can. The Crypts in my videos are all grown on that fertilizer.@@jonisolis9645
@SkullAquatics how's thar video coming along? cough cough 😉😁
I think adding the fert in a water container and dripping it into the tank could be a better way iso dosing direct to the tank . Kinda like a water top off methodology .
It does seem to be expensive. I am trying a Hydroponic Fertilizer by masterblend for my aquariums and ponds and it seems to be working great and it is the cheapest fertilizer I have found so far. I like that it has the minerals the plants need in it as I have very soft water.
Why don’t you dissolve the power in liquid b4 dumping it in tank? Eliminate the clumps.
Hi Bentley thanks for the informative content. I have an off topic question for you. I’m running Day Sim on my Fluval Plant 3.0 as well as pressurised CO2 and I was wondering when in the light cycle you would schedule the CO2 with that particular setting? Thank you. 😎👊👍🇦🇺
I start co2 when sunrise starts and stop it as sunset starts
Thank you. 🙂
👍🏻👍🏻
I think I’ll just stick with Easy Green. 😎👍👊🇦🇺
Strong audio Home in this video by the way
Hum
It's the air pumps.
Temu air pump?
@@passingwind2681 nope, I don't buy anything from temu. It's a larger multi-tank pump
Powdered fertilizer is no replacement for root tabs though, right?
Of course. Crypts or Echinodorus dont really benefit from fert in water. They want it in soil.
Depends on the plant
As was mentioned by another comment, it depends on the plant. If you're looking at mostly water column feeding plants, then the pattern fertilizer will replace a root tap. If you're looking at plants like swords or aponogetons that are very heavy root feeders, then you would likely want to continue using root tabs for those plants.
@@BentleyPascoe of course, the point of root tabs is that they go into the substrate. Just clarifying that this is like any other water column fertilizer, because if it did "everything"...
✌🏽
Whats your opinion on EI ferts?
There's kind of two ways that you can do. EI. There's the pre-mixed, micros and macros that are relatively easy to dose. It's just adding a little more complication but that is pretty minimal. Then there's the much more complex version where you're dosing each individual nutrient kind of like you would with something like the flourish line. In the end, EI dosing is all about what you are really willing to do. If you want that level of control, customization and potentially higher results then it's amazing. If you were someone who's looking for a simple solution then I think it's not the way to go.
Where can I buy hectors all in one? 😅

How do I buy it where it benefits you
Just watching the video benefits me, I don't have any commission or affiliate links with Hector. I'd rather see his business get that 😀
@@BentleyPascoe well I’m going to buy some. I have a 55 gallon that I pull five gallons out of once a week. This will be great for me
Bentley I hollered at you on IG DM with a question if ya have a moment ever
