In my lifetime I have fished an awful lot of lakes and in the gulf. I do have to admit the most enjoyable to me was river, stream, or creek fishing. When I was young, I also used to prowl the rivers in central Texas with my bolt action 410 for whatever might be supper. Or crawdads or Polk Salad or whatever. I've fished the Brazos, The Bosque, The Leon, The Colorado, The Canadian, the Paluxy, a few streams in Colorado, the White River in Arkansas, and even irrigation ditches in the very S of Texas for softshell turtle.
