Hey shroom I'm 12 years old and I have never caught a flattie before and it's one of my biggest fishing goals to catch one. I live near glebe and fish on the foreshore (South Rozelle Bay/South Blackwattle Bay) and was wondering if you could maybe go fishing there and make a video about catching flattie on lure/bait (whatever you feel like on the day). Flathead would be one of the easiest fish to catch they are super aggressive and will take just about anything if presented right just cast some plastics around in the early morning late afternoon and you will catch fish but get a decent rod and reel and line makes a big difference to your fishing good luck.
Find the sandiest spot you can and use a high action prawn paddle tail for a start

Big effort Shroominator 3 nights in a row. You deserve some good fortune. I been using those tiny little yakka lures you compared against the bait jigs. I been smashing the yakkas. Absolute monsters to.

@@ShroomFishing yes totally agree. Great fun and great bait. Haven’t eaten a yakka but apparently go pretty good on the table. I’ve only caught monster yakkas tho not the smaller jewie lollipops.

Dumb question. How does the bucket with the rod holders not tip over or slide when a fish is on? Do you fill it with water or something?

It's not fool-proof unfortunately but it does handle okay if you don't use heavy drag. I did lose a rod the other video (I fished it back up) so it is risky.

@@keenfisho1 yep, slow down all your lure movements. Try to move it back to you as slow as you can. Lots of pauses too 👍
