What a crappy thing to say to anybody, ever; You can't do that! You don't know how!. One of the things I admire about you is your tenacity. You're not afraid to try anything or to ask for help and suggestions. You try something. If it works, great. If it doesn't, you don't get discouraged. You try something else until you hit on what does work. I'm glad you don't let the haters get you down.

I can remember when I was young (I'm 70) when my parents planted peach, apple and cherry trees. We have a huge bucket of old rusty nails. Daddy put a bunch of them in each hole for each tree. Those trees produced like crazy. And we always had the best garden ever, which I hated at the time cause that meant work for me!! Now I can't seem to make anything grow. But we had great soil where I grew up in eastern Oklahoma. We had worms the size of night crawlers! I guess it's punishment for all the complaining I did growing up having to work in the garden!!! And my Mom always put moth balls in the ground around the trees if she even suspected of any kind of bore worm or anything else after the tree. It worked. Also keeps armadilla's out of the flowers gardens. They love the grub worms.

Georgia may be the peach state, but for many years South Carolina grows many times more peaches. Somethings nice to look forward to every summer.
Keep your receipts as they’re guaranteed for a year usually. I take a photo of each tree tag and as somewhere along the line you’ll be glad you’ve got them for reference. I also take a photo of the trees and write varieties location with it. Do t trim back more than a third of the tree each year. They do take watching for worms and diseases etc. you can lose a tree in a heartbeat after trimming back so be watchful. Your extension service will give you lots of guidance and help. Don’t let the birds eat them all. Enjoy!

so happy you got some peach trees! FYI Over here in NC our county Cooperative Extension sells fruit trees and berry bushes, selected for our area, for a good price, way cheaper than nursery prices, thing is, you have to order early then the plants come in at prime planting time....maybe you have one in your county. Also, they help identify any problems you are having with any plants/trees etc... if they don't recognize the ailment, they research until they figure it out and tell me what to do to remedy it. I used to use the coop extension office in Pennsylvania so it may be a federal thing that has offices all over in every state. Your farm is looking good, I'm still in the 'drooling over the garden catalogs' phase over here!

Look up peach borer, terrible for stone fruits. I saw one in Albuquerque so knew what to look for in my backyard here in California. The simplest solution I learned was to sprinkle mothball crystals around the base of the tree. A couple of tricks to help with frost protection, all are labor intensive, is to set up large fans to keep the air circulating (this is done in the commercial strawberry fields in my valley. The gigantic fans sound like helicopters all over my side of town, anger the closest neighbors, as you can imagine), set up smudge pots (that is what the orange growers do in the California orchards), or, you could go out when the frost is due & spray a fine mist of water over the trees, the water droplets will take the freeze & spare the fruit. I don't know how often this method is used tho.---If you find you need more chill hours, toss ice around the drip line (sorry, another labor intensive remedy. I had to consider this action for my lilac bush.)

Mulch / mulch / mulch.... Very helpful.....to Add a Layer of 'Mulch' Around the Trees. (keep away from the Trunk of the tree, about 4 inches )
Mulch helps conserve and extend available water, protects the soil from erosion, reduces competition by suppressing weeds, moderates temperature extremes,
and acts as a barrier or visible marker of gardening beds to limit damage by landscape maintenance equipment. Good Luck to you.

The little branch you showed at 26:35? The long, thin branch just below it needs to be pruned off. It's rubbing against a larger branch, which will only cause more damage as they both get bigger. Anywhere two are rubbing (or really close), one of them needs to go away.
Great job on the peach trees! Spring bulbs work well below deciduous trees; when the bulbs need sun, the leaves are still too small to shade them out, and by the time the leaves ARE too big, the bulbs are spent.

Takes three yr four years to establish any fruit tree in uk, where you are with heat n all , I’d say earlier, add eggs while when planting for nitrogen and pot ash. Old bbq dust works well. For ants use old tea leaves and for plant feeds used coffee used grind and banana skin with cinnamon to keep bugs away and feed for plants 🪴

    Tarnished plant bug
Plant bugs can be a major peach and plum pest and are a difficult pest to detect and control. They are most active from the bloom stage to 5 to 10 weeks after bloom. They pierce and feed on blossoms and fruit causing deformities, shallow depressions, and fruit drop. Not and expert but I tried to find some information. Also the peachtree borer, Synanthedon exitiosa, is primarily a pest of peach and nectarine trees, but it also attacks apricot, cherry, and plum.

Look up companion plants for peaches! Garlic should really help with peach leaf curl and borders. Tansy lavender basil marigolds comfrey! Just to name a few! So happy to see peaches 🍑! Crossing my fingers!

I prune our tree in the spring. I cut the limbs to no longer than three feet. I try to keep it no taller than 8 feet high. And take out any branches that grow towards the center or any that cross another. They need good air flow.

My daddy always cut the saplings off the bottoms of the trees trunk and every other short branch of the limb of the tree

I've never doubted you could do the renovation, you're a talented guy working on vehicles and working with your hands. My only thought has been, have you gotten building permits? You don't want the village or the town coming after you later telling you you have to take down what you did because you didn't have a permit.

Thanks Sondra Gail and Shelly. Robert wish I could contribute financially but I have a limited income. My mom lived in Georgia as a child loves GA peaches

If your Bell of Georgia is the same as “Georgia Bell”- they are the best! It’s a white peach, not often seen outside of where they grow due to not shipping well.. I lived in upstate South Carolina for 23 years and always visited the farms that grew them.. good luck!!

We have a Belle of Georgia peach tree. It's in its third year and is loaded with hundreds of peaches. They are around golf ball size right now. But they look fantastic.

There are good sprays for fuot trees out there! They grow apples, plums, cherries and even peaches and pears up here in Wash. State and nuts too. They all need sprayed with horticulteral oil every Spring to get good crops of fruit.

Hi Robert. All fruit trees that have pits will get borers. You can buy borer killer. Once a year you pour it around your tree. How much will depend on the size of the tree. You should this right away since one of your trees is running sap. The borers will
    Go from tree to tree

Newly planted trees/shrubs need Regular and Consistent watering until their root systems get established. A 'garden' calendar may help to keep track (watering / pruning/ spraying )
*Rain....most likely, will not be enough to reach the bottom of the roots.
Whenever you plant something....you need to "water it in" to settle the soil around the roots.
Do you have a hose, that will reach out to your peach trees?

The Belle of Georgia DOES self-pollinate.
If your peaches cross-pollinate, will it alter the fruit at all?
