    I can confirm that those sockets on the card are very sensitive to pressure and could be easily broken and get stuck inside the female cable terminals, which may require either replacing the complete cables or micro-soldering new connectors to the line, and you will need a new card. The video is worth every minute.

    For those people who are thinking "what's the point of this video? there's no big deal with removing wifi cables" you guys clearly haven't done this personally. It's very easy to snap off the solder point if you attempt to just remove it however. It's definitely kind of common unfortunately.

    • @iunlock4261
      @iunlock4261  2 роки тому

      Sorry to hear. Very tough task, but possible. If you look closely there's an outer ring and an inner ring. With something very fine and sharp you'll have to try and bend the collapsed areas of the ring that's preventing it to clip, back into shape. Due to how fragile the metal is you may have only a few chances before it softens too much from metal fatigue. Take your time and have the right tools. Good luck!

      Hello, hover the pins over the circle to align it up. You have to go by feel here, but once you have the pin over the circle and can feel it locked in place, use your thumb nail to gently push in the pin. The most important thing here is in making sure the pin is aligned right so that it doesn't bend the inner circular ring inside of the pin. When aligning (hovering the pin) over the WiFi stubs, give it a slight wiggle and you can feel if the inner circular ring is aligned or not.

      I had to use a 5 x lighted magnifier to see the ring that broke off the sucky Killer card and stuck to the antenna main.. I then held the main lead from the antenna with needle nose pliers and used a long pin to pop out the tiny ring. After that I was able to snap both antenna leads on the Intel 9260 Wifi card. The sockets especially those of the junk Killer card types are extreme sensitive so if you switch off the female plug in 95% of the cases the socket breaks off and you have the brocken part sitting inside of the female plug. You can try to get it out by using a needle but it most cases you will demage the female plug so that you must replace it. Buying a cable with attached female plugs ...but where to buy such parts ???

    lol these can be a pain.
    Silly design imho.
    lol look at them wrong & they bend and de-solder and the brass is like 0.2mm thick. I used to take apart electronic garbage to git dem golds & other win metals with aqua regia so it didnt matter to break them...lol and cellphone ones are even tinier (which is what i am working on rn, broken usb c and phone wont charge).
    Earlier I tried sticking some tape to the flat top of the connector with the idea of just pulling the tape up and not exert any "pinch" on its sides.
    However, the area is much too small for the tape to have any real grip.
    Ended up using a filed down toothpick.
    I know this vid is a bit old but I could not find much info about these pesky micro coax connectors.
    srsly, they should start making these the same as ZIF connectors or so (Zero Insertion Force).
    Thanks for the video.

      Gently hover the end of the wire over the circular ring on the WiFi card. When you feel it align press down on the gold clip to snap it back into place. Note: It's all by feel. When hovering over the ring you're trying to align the circular ring of the WiFi to the circular ring of the wire's tip. There's very little room for error. If you force press it when it's not aligned it'll bend the wire tip preventing you go securely clip in the wire again.
