Does this mean that PF has no one they can present as president? How old is ECL and what is it that he will do that he failed to do when he had the strength?
Politics is a game of popularity and ECL’s popularity is what gravitates people around him. Anyone else isn’t popular enough to win on the PF ticket.

The level of hypocrisy by PF is shocking. They want UPND to provide what they failed to do. They speak as thou we never experienced their harsh rule.

They should focus on the bad economy, load shading and hunger related issues cause even next year I bet mealie meal will go higher
@@MumbaKelvin-y6h But the opposition are the ones who divert - this interview was supposed to educate us on the PF wrangles and ecl eligibility case but people are focusing on ba kangiwa - it’s like Zambians are obsessed with negativity. Rome was not built in a year. The economy was wrecked over six years but people want this govt to fix it overnight. Drought was not caused by upnd but who is being blamed. We want cheap mealie meal but we don’t want to farm. We want other people to toil the soil and give us cheap food in bulk as well otherwise we blame govt. what about those who suffered to produce the maize. There’s no country on this earth that isn’t going thru hardships of some kind. Let’s focus on the right things.
Let our leaders come out of fear if truly Zambia is really a democratic State. Hypocrisy about hiding behind the certain of democracy should be lifted,so that rights of rule of law should be exercised with out fear. The Church is being accorded a moment to raise and speaking on matters arising in our country...
The minister was very right to control the situation at supreme court because Pf is the most disorderly organisation who misbehave as if they don't have leaders
ECL is not a threat to the UPND in any way,he is being used and deceived by desperate opportunists who stands a better chance to bounce back politically,Lungu has ZERO chance in 2026,those who think that the UPND will just do 1 term and give up power after being in opposition for the longest should think again,i don’t know of any political party in Zambia that only did 1 term,my humble opinion mukwai 🙏🏿❤️🤍🇿🇦

@@msaninyozekachilaza4782 it is because their talking points about the constitution has no jurisdiction have been crashed. They were hoping that the constitution court will dismiss the application. Now that the court wants to hear the other side, they have no arguments to put forward because their stand point of a term will be crashed. So they are avoiding the challenges by saying this matter has been petitioned 3 times already. This lawyer some on the platform are is smart knows that in Zambia there is no limitation of statute. As long as it is a different person petitioning, it can take forever. This lawyer knows that they are treading on thin ice.
Law is always current and not im retrospect ( past)
Immensely a new law comes into effect all new and old matters will be adjudicated on new laws.

In Zambia we waste time in repetitions. The case was already deliberated on. ECL is eligible as per constitutional court declaration.

Truth be told I don’t think the UPND are focused on one man rather it’s ECL who is focused on HH. If you follow his political career since 2016 he has expressed hatred for his brother. If you recall in 2021 ECL vowed to arrest HH after the elections. Look at how ECL refers to HH - you can tell that he has no regard for him.
The reality is if the ruling was positive supporters would have been too excited and would have done wrong in the process if again the results where negative then it would have agitated the supporters which would have escalated the situation the best was not to allow that to happen

Cheelo don't say the lawyers are dull, it's not so simple as you think there other laws that supports ECL s eligibility if one served for less than 3 yrs just like ECL did when he completed mr satas term just on that the law says will not call that a term,dont choose what you want to hear when it comes to the constitution,just let ECL appear on the ballot.
A term is NOT determined by length, but by how many times one is sworn in. You can be in office for 3 months, but as long as you were sworn in, its still classed as a "TERM".

On the last part I don’t agree with Makebi the court order doesn’t require the registra to hand over document to him - no. The documents are supposed to be filled at Court then distributed as per court order. I’m shocked that as a lawyer he is trying to twist things.

DJB was intentionally and clearly soft with the questioning and to some extend, he somewhat seemed to sympathize with the lawyer and his team.
It's not a political rally to be attended by multitudes most of whom have no role whatsoever with the court proceedings. Allow the judiciary institutions to freely operate without intimidation from the usually unruly ignorant cadres. Iwe Zimani the you saying it's okay for Kunda and Nsama to have been murdered bcoz they weren't weren't PF cadres?

The expense is already costed. Police personnel are paid monthly, not every day.
Police officers on official duty are paid extra daily allowance, including meal/lunch depending on how long they take to perform such duties.
Why not invite two opposing views? Than have one sided of the story?
It's clear that the public is not satisfied, Lungu manipulated the first judgement.no matter how you look at this case Mr Lungu does not qualify his term ended in 2021 period.and for as long the public does not get justice on this matter people will continue asking the court different questions but bordering on the same subject.
The Biggest problem is the constitution...amend some clauses, two terms or two five year terms...a provision to serve two five year terms or sworn in twice...in case of presidential by - election, eah candidat to serve 10 years or two terms?
And Makebi is a childish lawyer who will make Pf even more crippled eve before 2026

These interviews are so one sided they should also invite the lawyers of the other side for balance.
Otherwise if you listen to the lawyers of the for the side their argument is quite aound too.And they had a mini victory as court has thrown out premlinary issues raised by the lungu side
As for police they did their work well.Their job is to prevent lawlesness and they did just that .what did pf expect when they where busy inciting anarchy at the courts and inconvenience motorists as was the case the last night .

How can they be scared of a person they beat by over 1million votes.Stop over exiting your self.The loss was so emphatic not even the rigging and stopping other parties from campaigning could help.I still recall the closing of the all country airspace when the sitting president was travelling.
