Colorful Tower

I used to poke fun at the way the architectural industry presents and sells its work: by touting its "bird view" curb appeal. What was natural for physical scale models, inexplicably remains the selling point in age of architectural renderings. In this series, I attempted to replicate this approach. Quite accidentally, we approach this building from precisely the same angle as shown in its online brochure and marketing materials.
This is educational footage: an overflight of a high-rise building (quite short in comparison to the adjacent development, but it was the first tower built after the economic recession).
This building was remarkable for its rich coloristic. Once we get closer, we could see how badly it was spoiled by premature deterioration: We could notice the tell-tale signs of typical issues plaguing the industry in this region: inadequate facade tectonics leading to cracking, lack of weather resistance, quick deterioration caused by both, and inadequate shading.

Very interesting and useful tour. (And I'm sure we all appreciate your thoughtful and careful blurring of most of the window views, which we certainly don't need, to understand the building science issues.)
