    Your kitchen is so warm and inviting. It seems to wrap you up like a big hug as you walked us through it. I'm sure your family feels the same way. I have a sideboard very similar to the one you just found. Mine has the glass knobs. We've enjoyed it for over twenty years and the storage space is so helpful. I can't wait to see the pantry and additional room tours. Thank you!

    Everything is so beautiful! It’s so cozy and inviting. I see you have your dining room table at an angle as well. I love having mine at an angle because it actually feels like I have more space in the room. I actually turned mine that way so that both me and my husband had a good view of outside when we were eating dinner. Previously his back was to the sliding door and he was always saying something about me being able to see outside. I love all of your vintage pieces! I see that window above your sink that you were contemplating closing in. I think it would look amazing to have shelves in it on the kitchen side. You could even put a mirror in the back of it to give the illusion of a more open space. I’m looking forward to the bedroom tour!!

      Thank you so much, my friend. Yes when we got this new table, it was longer so in order to have adequate space all around it we felt like we needed to put it on the angle. We are really enjoying ours that way also! I think you are right about the window. I really think it needs to be done. And I think I would enjoy the shelves also!🧡

    I've been waiting for this lol. The brown dishes are so pretty with the white/brown ones. you did a great job on decor and not overdoing it. My 2 fav things were the 2 pilgrims alongside the cute ceramic vase that looks like a burlap bag wow so cute filled with fall eucalyptus; and the beautiful brown mosaic glass candleholder OMG i love mosaic glass i have a lot of it..that was so beautiful with the candle. And the fact you grew those pumpkins made it even more amazing, those gourds were some fall goodness...the antique lamps, just amazing. Loved your tour lady!!! God bless!! (can't wait for the next one lol)

    Up here in Canada, can someone explain what a hobo party and peanut boil is???

    • @SouthernBellaHome
      @SouthernBellaHome  11 місяців тому

      Haha yes! We grow peanuts in Georgia. We take the raw peanuts and boil them in salted water all day in huge antique kettles over a fire outside . Then we gather friends to enjoy! A hobo party is where everyone dresses up like a railroad “hobo” . I’m not sure if the term is correct everywhere but here in the states, hobos were men who would jump trains and travel all over the country riding in rail cars until they were caught and made to exit the train. They were usually dressed in a very shabby way, so people would have hobo parties. where everyone dressed up very shabby, we would have a bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Ideas are on Pinterest for hobo parties.😊

    Your new buffet is incredible!!! What a gorgeous find. I ,like you ,have had so many faux pears and apples and oranges and lemons for years. I even took the oranges and poked with an ice pick and clove studded them for the holidays. I think mine are at least 15 years old. I put them in the brass bowl of my black cast iron scale on the kitchen counter every year. I love your silver tray. I have collected them for years.. starting when they were affordable. I love the tarnished patina. I have trays, pitchers, coffee and tea pots, candlesticks bowls and platters. Your kitchen is so cozy. I know your grandchildren will forever remember that little stove and grandmas kitchen ... even when they are grown with children of their own. And yes, children do grow up so fast. I cannot believe my baby boy is 51 years old!!!!! How could that be????? I feel 40... haha OH well, just blessed to be here and see him grow up to be the daddy of three boys!!!
