- An amazing CEX Challenge for the PS3 and the usual rules apply:
1 - Stay within budget...
2 - No doubles, do not buy any games I already own...
3 - No sports titles, unless its a boxing game...
in this latest CEX challenge I niche down to the amazing Playstation 3 console system. The PS£ is still an amazing looking games console with some amazing cheap video games for the awesome pre retro console which is the PS3 system. With so many great games at cheap prices the PS3 is a future retro game system that should not be overlooked.
So jwill OGDuffy win out on this challenge? with only a £10 budget surely there are no decent games to be had for the PS3? Or is there...

Yeah that's right. It's such a good game too, imo it's aged well.

The uncharted games aren't that long, especially the first, the 4th felt long though. Absolute top quality games though.

I would be looking for the PS3 games that were exclusive to this console,alot of the top games I would already have on the Xbox, great video and some good advice on picking up PS3 games on the cheap

Love the PS3 the first console I ever bought myself the ps2 is my baby but the ps3 has a special place in my heart, as for it being collectible I think it’s very collectible and will soon start going up in price, also the uncharted games omg 100% need to play also if you haven’t got it or played it you need to try beyond two souls on the ps3 that game in my opinion is one of the best on the console

I think Codemasters feature in a documentary called Bedrooms to Billions ? Richard & David Darling.
They started on the 8 bit systems back in the mid 80s.
There are some great games in 3D.
Pain is a good one, not sure if it’s easily available ?
I have it stored on my PS3.
Motorstorm 3D Rift is brilliant.
Super stardust HD is also a good game in 3D.
I think there were around 40 or so 3D compatible games, maybe more ?
Active 3D “flickering glasses”
gives you full HD.
Passive glasses “the cinema style” are not full HD.
I’ve tried the PS3 on both types of TV and can definitely say that active 3D is the best picture with less blur.

Uncharted 2 is about 10-12 hours long. Most of them are linear Hollywood style games. I love this game. Play it!

Great video OG😊 uncharted is one of the best video game series to come out and a must own on playstation you can play a few hours at a time if you want, playing from 1 all the way to 4 is something special you'll love it👍

You did really good there OG 😊 I think most of them are on the Wii, not the club that isn't but I think all the others are so I have them but never played any of them . But for a quid or 1.50 a game you can't go wrong 😊

Great pickups OG. You should definitely play the uncharted games, they are roughly 6-8 hours each so not too long. Also the club is a great game, especially for £1 😄

OG ps3 , Horror title pick up those fear games! Costa coffee cost me £3 from a garage could have had that fear game less than a coffee , cos you’re regret not picking it up! All the best

Lovely vid mate. Agree on the PS3, Cracking console. Alien Isolation and LOS my favourite. My interest though are those Super Famicom games mate, the Street Fighters I saw behind you, lovely stuff. I'm trying to complete the Final Fight series, just missing Final Fight 3 (Final Fight Tough) I can't find it cheaper than 400 notes 😳 FFS. Hi mate , 1 Codemasters were a good company back in the day. 2 Skies of Arcadia has less battles than the Dreamcast version. 3 Virtua tennis is amazing on Dreamcast. 4 If you want Killzone 1 then you will need to buy the Ps3 trilogy , not Cheap. 5 Crisis 2 had a big online community like call of duty and Killzone on ps3. Good pick-ups matey

I actually picked up Lair myself a few days ago. A decent game that was done dirty by Sony forcing a gimmick down our throats. Sony made them make all of the dragon riding/combat done via motion controls and they just did not work well at all and the game suffered massively. Months later a patch was released that undid it and made it regular controls but the damage was already done. Pretty sad but well worth picking up now imo, very underrated.

NoGreat video. Darksiders is class. I never got the time to complete 2 and 3. Like you said too many games, too little time 😂 LA Noire was a great game, played it originally on Xbox 360 (I played Playstation one and 2) originally but then when I got Xbox I never looked back. I loved that game, and bought the remastered version. Such a gem. Games, games and even more games. 😂😂

I think all consoles will become collectable in some form, definitely some more than others. I think PS3 deffo will be collectable, but due to the volume of games sold it might stay reasonable-ish.
Time will tell matey... Still think the PS3 look amazing too... So many great titles too... Cheap as chips 😉

Uncharted games rack up about 10-12 hours per game max. Fantastic series, can easily recommend- if you like Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider you’ll feel right at home with that series OG. Keep up the great content and have a cracking bank hols!

The club was one of the first games I got for the PS3 it was a great multiplayer game not sure how it holds up. I also used to love condemned 2 a single player horror title that's cheap you should check out

Crisis is a great series. The first one is digital only on the ps3 but you can get the crisis trilogy on ps4. There was an expansion that only came out on pc called warhead or something. I hate playing pc games because of the mouse and keyboard so never really played it.The story feels disjointed going from 1 to 2 because of that. Other than that great series.

Should add an extra rule. No games that have been released on a newer console. That counts out games like Bioshock infinite and LA Noir. The only game that you picked up that doesn't have a remake is Lair and that wasn't very well received on release because it had alot of issues. Killzone 2 doesn't have a remake but there is a hd version on PS3. Darksiders, Crysis and Uncharted are all on PS4 and XBOX One.

Hey OG, That is amazing indeed, So many games with that price. I jumped off from The ps3 boat, like you say : Too Many games, not enough time. So i don't invest in ps3 anymore, Only holding on to ps3 cos i have guitar hero games and guitar's for it 🤘 Uncharted hmm, i have all those too but never played but few minutes of the first one. The problem for me with these older ps3 games, Not gonna say old, but older. Yes the review shows 9/10 or 10/10, but that was Back when they were released and then when i try one with good review it looks and feels outdated and of Course they are, cos they are older maybe thats just me 😁 some ps3 games looks awesome still 😎 Take care and see you in the next one 🍺🍻 Ps. Had so many positive comments about the Uncharted games so will defo have to give one a play at least. I still love the PS3 think graphically it still really holds up 😉 I have a Series S now and really like the monthly gaming option on it.... That said I probably dont get my moneys worth as play the same sort of games on it and dont use as much as I should 😉 Devils Third... I will give it a play matey... Leave it with me 😉👍

Had my eye on that Animal Crossing Switch Lite in the window for the little man's Christmas present for a while. It was £150, then £140 and now £130. I think £100 is my biting point. Is 3 years old too young for a Switch? Hmmmm 🤔
Decisions, decisions matey... Can see Switch prices continue to go down as time goes on, but could be a while before it drops to £100... Worth the wait 😉
Uncharted 2 blew my mind, so much that the 3rd one disappointed me so bad, I did go back and enjoy it, but I truly believe going one title to the next or replaying it before the new one is a disservice to the new, Darksiders 2 to 3 was also disjointed, I now no longer do that, pick up the club if you can I think you will like it, dusting off my PS3 you have inspired me to finish a few titles and drink a few Stella’s 🍻 cheers my Bro

I think the ps3 will become more and more collectable and it has some great games, but generally I think the ps3's performance wasn't as good as the 360's. So if people are interested in performance, frame rates etc, they'll probably go for the 360. A bit like how the og xbox performed better than the ps2.
Valid points matey... I think the 360 is more collectable that the PS3 but some titles collect more money for PS3 and vice versa for 360... Strange?

@@OGDuffy I get my PS4 games from my local Cash Converters in Australia. I bought three games from EB games (Australian version of GameStop, don’t know if there’s a UK equivalent) that were on sale but EB games is more overpriced than CeX in Australia
