Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spares will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
    crime here, called "Abgasbspaßung" :-)

the slant six pulls just as much as a 318 on paper....no surprise there

@@francoisdesmarais1532 only with some mods though. 2bbl. 2.25 exhaust and ignition re-curve will do it.
Just cleaning up the castings and raising the compression by one point will even add some more.

You shifted too early, and you're taking a coffee break on the shift, other than that it was awesome

I've owned and driven a lot of cars that are both newer and slower!

They're both laughably slow, but you're gonna force me to get some better tires with that second gear pull you got goin.

@@joesjunkcars6328 When I was a kid I used to drive my Dads 64 Chevy biscayne with 3 on the tree and the 230 six. It felt kind of peppy but was pretty slow . Due to the fact that I live in Canada my friends mom had 65 Canadian Pontiac ( rebadged Chevy) that car had the six power glide 2 speed auto. That car was about as fast as an old 60's transit bus. It was literally night and day. The early 70's 318 dusters of the time were literally rockets in comparison to either of those cars. My current car is 19 kia Niro hybrid 1.6 litre gas engine plus electric for a total 139 horsepower and 195 lb ft torque . With the 6 speed dual clutch it's about as quick as that old 318 duster but by modern numbers is considered slow. After learning how to drive that chevy with the standard trans , no power brakes, no power steering, or windows, everything else has been easy.

you sure theres a slant in the valiant sounds better than a six............... what up with the cougar it got a cold?

That's what a Slant sounds like with long tube headers and a Thrush glass pack side dump exhaust at 4,500 RPMs.
That Cougar is awesome actually, it's just a little sleepy from sitting in a field for 30 years. My buddy just got it on the road.

Okay I HAVE to know every detail you can give me about the exhaust setup including manifold/headers, crossover, cats, specific muffler etc…
    If you can.
Never heard a modified slant that sounded good to me until now

    • @joesjunkcars6328
      @joesjunkcars6328  2 роки тому

haha, that's funny because my current setup, which is the one you hear in this video was supposed to be temporary.
6 into 1 Mopar Direct Connect header to one of those 2.5 inch flex pipes they sell at the auto parts store and a Thrush glass pack, side exit in front of the rear driver side tire.

@@joesjunkcars6328 thanks and yes, at least in the video it sounds fairly good. And I’m very particular, I tend to not like the sound of old 6 bangers at all, all v8’s and 2jz’s and so on. But I love the slant and finally one that sounds decent :3
