    Those logs look a lot bigger when you are walking along them and sawing them up. Another great video. Nice to see Jay again too.

    Good Video Tim. I can tell you have the Chain Nice & Sharp. That ole Husky is throwing some big clean chips outs. Reminds me of a fella my Pop & Great Uncle Worked with. He could sharpen a Chainsaw to where it could cut throw anything you threw@ it. & he was like my Pop & Great Uncle. He operated Husqvarna & Stihl saws. I see you have Jay Hard@ it again. . Y'all have great & safe Memorial day Weekend. Remember Some Gave All. Mack

    Being a Northern carpenter, it’s pretty slick to see where some of the shitty popular painted trim comes from. Nice vid!!!

    Watching you cut those trees was like Deja Vu. Ole Derrick worried about Jay dying on him, he must not trust his TigerKitty in the hands of no one else.

    man I love your vids, my folks are mainly chicken catchers, ceramic tile setters, concrete work, you get the picture my brothers & a couple of my nephews, we're just "oriented around "work" & we farm too, always got a big garden, just raised knowing how to run equipment, fish, hunt & love each other & just basically knowing how to do "stuff", anyhow, just a N.C. country boy, heat with wood & try to be good to folks, anyhow, you remind me of so many of my friends, got a lot of logging buddies, that let me come get my winters wood from sites they work on, anyhow, take care bud ttyl.

      I was in my 20's, when "religion" got me,,, I was well in my 30's before I came to know Jesus, there aint no comparing the two, "religion" had made me a "phairisee", Jesus set me free !!!! and its all by grace and mercy, & now I despise "religion" simply because I have tasted the love of Jesus

    Hi Tim,
    I know you have probably been asked this question a thousand times by now but here goes:
    1. Is the poplar tree part of the oak family and 2. what are they used for in the industry? Thanks for the great video's. Love to see those saws working!

    Which cylinder is the ER Boom cylinder?
    The left or the right one (operator's point of view)?
    I didn't know Tigercat used John Deer cylinders..

    What do they use poplar for there?Around here use them for pulp,but around here mills are geared for softwood.

    Hey tim, i got a silly question, why popular always have the light green in the middle?

  • @f0rumrr

    Me too, im a landscaper and run handheld power equipment all the time. I can not stand ear muffs and I care about preserving my hearing. Ear plugs are the way to go. 3M 90716-80025T, are by far my favorite, you can get hundreds of uses out of a pair.
    Those foam ones are good but not if you have to take then in and out all the time.

    Hi Tim, what does the poplar get used for?

    • @cotontop3
      @cotontop3  6 років тому

      I don’t know what they do with it.

    • @daversj

      Mostly interior trim, doors and paint grade cabinetry. Larger logs are used for core material for high grade cabinetry plywood. Its nice to work with if the grain is straight and rings aren’t to big. It takes paint real well. Its one of the harder softwoods. It can really stink when you cut it though.

  • @johnpaulk994
    @johnpaulk994 6 років тому

    You still don’t like the ear muffs that amplify small sounds like voices and blocks out loud noises?

    • @axecuttimber1243
      @axecuttimber1243 6 років тому

    do your T-shirts come sleeveless like that or is that a custom order job? Do you do that so you don't get that sleeve tan line? I remember when I was a kid, we used to take the arms off the different he-man action figures and swap them from one toy to another. I imagine your tan lines might look a bit like that, rotisserie chicken skin on the outside and raw chicken skin on the inside ;) Just kidding Tim. Cutting those huge logs is always fun. Thanks for the videos. Oh, and that last bit, is that the new cylinder going in or the one you flip flopped the cylinder and rods on?
