I've not only played the game, but watched the anime, too. XD
As for a succubus, they do get energy from partners, usually draining them until they pass on. The original succubus demon could take on the guise of an attractive woman, but would change into her hideous, demonic form just before killing the person. They weren't picky about who they drained, but males were more likely. Of course, then there was the male version: the incubus.
Incubus was a great band.
