This would be a really useful light for work. As a mechanic, i always have a pen light on me for inspecting and seeing in confined spaces. My current work light is a streamlight stylus pro that I keep in a belt holster so it's always easy to get out and use. I've been using my streamlight for about 8 years at this point, and it's never failed me. I know it isn't the brightest, but it's damned near bombproof. Maybe one of these days when I get a few 14500 cells I'll pick one of these guys up to try out.
Yeah, I will admit, when I first got it I thought there may be an issue with the pretty steep step between the tail cap and the battery tube, but it fits in my hands incredibly well.
Great video - very helpful. Just wanted to point out that the audio on this video is only on the right side when you're indoors, instead of playing on both sides in stereo which may explain some people's initial problems.
I have many wurkkos lights. I enjoy all of them. They have a great selection and the prices are the best. When they started showing prototypes of the wk05 I was extremely excited. My favorite daily carry is the Acebeams pokelit grey (the grey version is 1000 lumens). It has a simple UI high output, good runtime, runs on AA or 14500 and the price is great. I honestly was hoping the WK05 was going to run on a single 14500 that would make it much shorter and more comfortable like the Acebeam. Hopefully they come out with a different version or a shorter tube for it. I was also surprised that it only puts out 900 lumens. The Acebeam puts out 1000 on high (low, med, hight no turbo) with a single 14500. With the wk05 running 2x 14500 I was expecting higher output all around than it offers.
I love pretty much every light option that you showed in your comment. When it comes to the WK05, I think they kept it at 900 lumens to keep the heat down.
Good afternoon, I'm new to this topic. Why the lifetimes are similar to that of a lumintop AA 2.0 if it works with 2 batteries and the lumintop only with 1. Shouldn't this one last twice as long or twice as bright? I speak from ignorance so I would appreciate any response. What is the best flashlight with 2xAA. Thanks for the video
Hello! As far as duel fuel lights, while the voltage may be much higher in a lithium cell, unless they are a 'direct drive' driver, you wouldn't necessarily see that entire voltage going to the led. Even then, it is usually regulated to give better run time over 2x the brightness. Then you get into the issue of nonlinear illuminance depending on current. This means that just because you are pushing twice the current, it doesn't mean you will get twice the output. I hope this helps and doesn't make it more confusing. As for my favorite 2xaa light, (don't tell Wurkkos) I may have to say that it is the MT2A Pro. The user interface seals the deal. Wurkkos has a familiar UI, but the MT2A Pro is just so easy to use.
Some people really prefer pen lights. In the automotive industry, I used to carry pen lights almost exclusively. The WK03 is a great light we will have a full review coming for that soon, but the WK05 seems like it has its own category that it is filling.

Thank you for the kind words! Love what we have going, but if you have some ideas, we'd love to hear them.

Battery included?
Does the Nitecore battery from the MT2A Pro work with the Wurkkos light?
It sure does! Falls within those voltage limitations. Doesn't run quite as bright as running two 14500 batteries though.

Thank you very much for your kindness and time to explain that information to me. Have a nice day@@torchesandtactical
Iv got no audio for this video. Is it just me or is it the video? Nvm its my phone >..
Hey Cheyenne! Glad you got the audio fixed! How do you like the layout? Anything you'd change?
@@torchesandtactical awesome video, good layout. i would not change anything
Why buy this one when for less money you have the WK03 with a larger battery, it is more powerful, more compact and cheaper...?

👍💯
Thanks! I appreciate you watching the videos!
No charging port....... we are not all geeks or nerd or whatever
