Honestly, its mostly the Android fans and techies that were excited for USB-c. Most Apple fans I know couldn't care less, and are much more interested in the new functionality of cameras and dynamic island, being able to pick 35mm lens, and it all being lighter.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 back in 2013 had USB 3 (although it was USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5Gbit/s) and then revolutionary explosive Samsung Galaxy Note 7 introduced USB-C with USB 3 speeds in 2016. Nice catch up Apple.
Will the write to SSD be drive/cable agnostic or only on Apple-certified? Decided not to buy a 15 after I heard that the port was limited on the non-pro versions… can’t find anything to indicate it was technical but rather was just a choice.
Actually some Sony cameras can record the footage when paired with an Xperia phone on the phone itself while using it as a monitor and can stream the footage
Not an Apple hater but top end android models can already transfer to SSD's, Record in CDNG RAW, Can be used as a camera monitor (but with the HDMI to USB converter card or older iPhone for that matter with Seemo, now it seems the newer iPhone can do that directly but time will tell). It would have been an instant buy if it could do Prores RAW, Because well, RAW, and it would dodge RED's patent. So iphone has caught up more than anything...
As someone who manually backs up their iPhone to iTunes this will be huge when I finally upgrade either to the 16 or 17 Pro Max. I back up my iPhone 12 Pro Max maybe every 3 months (which is bad) because of how painful the USB speed is.
Most of the thing mention below is already in top end android phone for sometime. Makes me wonder how much productivity boost and quality of life improvement alot of people can have if they gave some chance to Android. And it shows how lackluster marketing it is for other company like Samsung, I still remember how Apple pay was marketed as a amazing new shit when Samsung pay already exist for awhile and literally nobody in the world know that lol. It's pretty sad we live in a world where marketing is way important than features. Best stuff don't always win I guess.
It’s because the base iPhone 15 uses last years chip which doesn’t have a USB 3 controller on it. I guarantee every year Apple with slightly upgrade the speed on the pro models. Like next year, we’ll probably see 20Gbit/s, the 40, then 80 etc. to make it a new feature every year.
IPhones are shit at what price they are selling. Every Apple event for past few years is just to hypnotise by showing them hype and fancy stuff so people would buy the IPhone
Just because you you understand what’s actually under the hood doesn’t make it any less fancy. Outside of bending them, phones have plateaued. Price is relative to the consumer so if it doesn’t meet your value, that’s fine, but this tirade over year over year model refreshes when last time I checked refrigerator design hasn’t changed….
@@theklr Bro, first of all there is sky to ground difference between a SmartPhone and a refrigerator. And i didn;t say IPhones are bad, i was saying for past few years there is not major breakthrought or innovation in IPHones but still there is always a increase in Prices, and there is no point of paying such amount when you can get even better phones as lesser price than that and also you don't have to be slave of Apple Ecosystem. Because trust me When you buy an IPHone your money will keep going even after buying it. in huge amount whether its for repair or buying accessories or any other thing.
who would've thought USB-C would be good for iPhones 🤯
😂😂😂
Apple: introduces usb-c
Apple fans: INNOVATION

Amazing what can happen when the EU forces everyone to use USB-C!
The title should be "EU forced apple to make my dream phone"

A16 Bionic does not have the usb controller on board.

Why does theo have the CHAD SIGMA jawline
I still use my 11, I’ll probably update to the 15 like in a year or two when I can get it much cheaper
I respectfully disagree that an iPhone is convenient or being fairly priced as a camera.
I've been thinking about getting an iPhone, and I may get this due to the USB-C port. Only if Intersteller Pilot gets ported to IOS 😂

should totally change title to "Apple Just Released The Best Phone" for clickbait :D
Looks like I am getting this phone to upgrade my streaming.
Xperia has been doing this for years....
Its going to be a shame when people upgrade thinking it's so much of a better camera suited for professionals, only to use the front facing one
Nice video. Honestly, I haven't thought that it's gonna be a big deal!
Hey Theo, is your apple watch screen broken. Or it just looks like that due to lighting.
So you get an amazing display with instant social media sharing straight from your professional camera 🥳
iphone is like 6 years late to usb-C
Thanks, EU commission
its 1 better than the 14
Can't believe your video is the first one I'm watching about the iPhone 15 coverage lol

The iPhone 15 has USB 2?
Thunderbolt 5 was just announced, laughing in 120 Gb/s. 😂😂

@@nezukovlogs1122 ... ok, but there was no increase this year...
