I'm a multicolored light person. But my wife loves white lights. We have a prelit tree which can do both. We light the tree every other day to our preference. The exterior is always multicolor since I spend the time to hang all of them. ;)
My light preference depends on how I'm feeling. I like color lights because I grew up watching Disney's world of color. White lights give me hope!
I have a pre-lit Christmas tree where you can choose all white or all colored lights. You can also choose various patterns. I love Christmas so much. My dad was “Santa’s helper” for many, many years. I never saw him on Christmas Eve because he was out visiting families who hired him. His gig as Santa paid for our very modest Christmas. I miss him tremendously. He died in 1996. Thank you David for sharing a Disneyland Christmas. 🎄🎁❤

I grew up with colored lights so that is what I like.
White or multi colored lights- we personally use both. As for purple, that color is used in advent wreaths in the Catholic Church along with purple robes except the 3rd week which is pink/rose
White lights for inside tree, colorful big bulbs on my house! Plus, solid green lights on my prickly pear cactus out front. All will be up and turned on Dec1!!
Oh wow ,love me some fresh baked. And Oh wow band at DCA did “ can’t help but wonder where I’m bound” by Tom Paxton my all time favorite folksinger who probably made a lot of his money cause he wrote “my dog’s better than your dog” which was turned into a jingle by kennel ration dog food. Some major nostalgia for this 75 year old David and Liz fan!
Colored lights, they give off a more festive feeling. Plain lights happen all year long
When it comes to the holidays, I remember when we had colored lights and they were 7 1/2 watts each

Definitely coloured lights for me. One of the decorations on the tree in my home growing up was the (long burned out) first lights my mother ever had from back in the early 1930s. They were metal fixtures with small (coloure) bulbs at the end -- stars, castles, an elephant, fun shapes all around!
Holiday lighting tip, if you need need old Christmas bulbs or strings, check a second-hand stores.
A former boyfriend used to make me homemade albondigas soup. Haven't had it since. Maybe here is my opportunity. LOL
I feel like no one is in Avengers Campus during Christmas time because there's no decorations and Christmas lights there. Everyone is enjoying the rest of the park. They really should consider adding some lights or something to the trees throughout the land. Anyways, thank you for another magical video and for sharing with us. 😊

David regarding your train;
If you don't mind a suggestion regarding your train around the tree.
Ok, yes the obvious, at first the Dog, cat, and Sophia will want to play/mess with it, especially when it would be running. Well, first, the dog would grow tired of it quickly. The cat, would take a little longer to grow tired of it, but once the train runs over the cats tail, it would learn to leave it alone. As to Sophia,.... next year, you get her a train set of her own. Then you get a 3/4 inch 4×8 sheet of plywood, put carpet appropriate wheels on the bottom, and screw the track down to the top of the plywood. Put a couple of handles to pull, and push, so to push it under her bed when not playing with it. Then She has Her own train, and would lose some interest in your tree train.
Ok, as to the track problem in the carpeting. First, I should have asked, what gauge is the train? Is it just an H.O.? Or is it the bigger "O" gauge? Or for your purposes, the better slightly larger train?
The next thing to decide, do you want the train going around the tree inside the presents, or do you want most of the presents inside the track, with the train circling around the outside of the presents?
Then go and get a 3/4 sheet of plywood, and cut it down so that it would be big enough for the train track to circle around inside the plywood. Then cut down the plywood so as to be circular with the train track just inside the plywood.
Then, take the plywood, paint it green, then get some green felt, and securely staple it down to the plywood. 😮
Then lay out the track, completely laid out on the green felt, and permanently screw the track down to the felt covered plywood.
Then put your tree on top of the felt covered plywood, with the track running around the tree, with the presents inside, or outside of the track. Then when dog, cat, n kid get bored with it, you will be set.
Then, when putting decorations away till next year, take the round felt covered plywood, and slide it in between you decoration boxes, till next year.
Oh, one other thing,
Cut a whole big enough to run your power cords to the tree, and train track, through the whole, and the cords under the plywood.
Your set.
I loved this video. It’s so cool to be able to see all of the things and hear the sounds when you can’t be there in person. The joy and happiness that David brings from these videos is just absolutely spectacular.
Bruh I saw myself at 26:38! I remember that day I was in line for Radiator Springs Racers and I just got off of Grizzly River Run! That’s why my hair looks like that lol! 😂💀
My husband and I are spending 2 days in Disney and CDA Dec. 5th. Thanks for sharing. I love Xmas for music and decorations. Remember to enjoy yourself when in the parks… you deserve it!

My mom and stepdad got a little train to run around the tree at their house and it really does add to the entire vibe haha
I have 3 different Christmas trees because I love both!
One tree is a traditional pine style tree with white lights, classic green, red, gold colours with rustic woodland and vintage old country Christmas ornaments.
Another tree is a snow flocked tree, full of bright and bold colourful lights with all the fun, nostalgic pop culture Hallmark ornaments.
The last tree is an iridescent white tree with all white and pink fairy lights and all the decorations are white, pink, rose gold or iridescent in colour and nearly all of them either sparkling or fluffy/furry/fuzzy. It’s kind of like a “sugar plum fairy” vibe.
Outside the home I appreciate colourful lights. I only like white lights if you do a lot of them and in the front yard bushes and trees too.
I just love this time of year at Disneyland and DCA. Thanks for showing us all!!

Today
You can get a piece of plywood (diameter large enough for train track), cover it in something festive, then put your tree on that, and lay the train track on it, around the bottom of the tree. Stability problem solved.
Buena Vista Street & Carthay Circle are beautiful this time of year.

The train around our tree doesn't make it all around the track and we don't even have carpet!
I do like colored lights but I'm 100% white lights for my home! My holiday theme, here in So Cal, is winter wonderland 😂 Flocked tree with white lights, lots of greenery, pops of red holly berries and snowflakes

This year I was so happy to find the multi color larger size lights of back in the day at Costco. I just purchased several boxes (can be used inside or outside). I also live in So CA so you should be able to still find them in the stores or maybe even online. Happy Thanksgiving❤

Great video, David! Disney does Christmas decorations right. DCA doesn't hold a candle to Main Street, however the decorations are still pretty and festive. 🎄🎀

5:57 the color of the color lights today isn't the same as it was in the 70s-90s. The colors are more yellow/magenta/cyan instead of deep reds, blues, greens, and yellows.
Just returned - went to the 10:15 World of Color - stood right up in front - fabulous then went to the Little Mermaid - walked right in.

If lights are on inside a train, cable car, or bus. It is very hard to see out of the windows. I've been in many trains at night and wished the lights were off so I could see the scenery.

Sorry, but Christmas requires colored lights, starting with blue,red,green, and other lights to taste. And unlike what Walt did with the lights at the coca cola store, they do not need to be in order, sort of a joyous chaos in color! Especially on the tree, some steady, and some blinking. But on the house too. Sorry, but all white are kind of bland for Christmas.
Save all white for other holidays, or for the backyard patio for entertaining.

Multi colored lights im not a fan of clear lights .we see clearly lights all year.Its called light bulbs. I seen some C9 lights in Walmart ..Those are the big lights we seen as kids
