Kari Tapio was much of a music icon in Finland and Finnish and Italian music are quite similar. He had the most country music voice anybody can have. He died in the back of a taxi car on his way home after a concert, and his wife Pia never got over it and also died a few years later. Haven't seen the movie, but sure should have to do it.
The Finnish language is challenging. The relief comes from the sound correspondence. The sound resembles the name of the letter and everything is pronounced the same way. This is why there are no matching competitions in Finland when you can already hear the letters while pronouncing them. The challenge in the language is in the grammar if you want to learn it "perfectly".
which nobody ever will who isnt grown up here. Since slang is very different from the books. example: 'ois tää oikee' - that screams: fuck grammar, fuck you foreigner who learned 10 yrs finnish in a classroom. fuck you all :)
@Yakov Nevsky You are right! The song was composed by Toto Cutugno, originally for Adriano Celentano. But he refused it and so Toto Cutugno performed it himself and had a big hit with it. I've confused that a little, sorry!

I did laugh out loud when you said "this is some feel good music" but I do honestly appreciate you reacting to this more than you could imagine. This song has a surprising amount of ups and downs and it´s one of those songs that makes me sad but also so proud of our culture and people at the same time. I´m happy to provide you with the full translation if you so wish. Love from Finland!
lol it's also a cover son like many older "Finnish " pop songs. original artist/ singer was an Italian pop artist Salvatore ”Toto” Cutugno and the song was originally called ”L'italiano” 😂

This song is a Finnish version of a Italian song that was released few years earlier
That's true! It's a song by Adriano Celentano, which title is Sono un Italiano. That means also I am an Italian.
@@arnobenter Wasn't it originally composed by Salvatore "Toto" Cutugno?

Classic Finnish music. "Oh it's such a feel-good song, what a nice vibe!" And then you actually focus on the lyrics :D
Olen suomalainen, I am Finnish man. I like metal, but Kari Tapio belongs to my list 🤘forever.
More like ”I`m a finn.”

It's a cover of Italian song Sono italiano. Well translated to Finnish, so it has become a real national hymn like schlager for Finns I guess.
Да всё верно. Это Итал'янец. Автор Тото Кутун'о
This song is from Toto Cotungo. He was a good friend with Kari Jalkanen.
We next need Kari Tapio's performances of "Aaveratsastajat" and "Lumi teki enkelin eteiseen" in Provinssirock 2010

I was asked to sing this at my work buddie's wedding party. I was drunk by the time, I'm not sure how it went 😅
Yeah this is the basic Finnish oldie pop music formulae.
Make a feel good song and write the lyrics about sorrow and depression.

He´s not Kari Tapio this clip is from movie and that guy is actor. TRUE Kari is cool.

Definately NOT feelgood music. More like yearning and oddly warm feeling through mutual trauma😅
