Bought a used grader attachment for my kubota skid steer off Facebook market side. Used for the first time on a 700 foot new driveway we built. Watch and see how it worked.

I've been waiting for this video since you first mentioned getting the grader. I like it! On a side note, Kleeman saw his shadow so that means 6 more weeks of Dirt Perfect videos.
Lol good deal have them in file already 😂
Now we just need to come up with a gopher name for Captain Kleeman similar to Puxatawny Phil or Wiarton Willy now that he is known to see his shadow.
What county is Derby in? 🤔
Great video! Looking forward to seeing more of the new grader!!
Thanks
I've done dirt and sewer work for 30 sum years and that is one of the best implements I have seen for a skid steer. you should be happy with grader, nice find and a good buy.
Yes love it so far and thanks
After I got my grader att. The next thing I bought was a vibratory roller made by Cat. I did a lot of driveways so it worked out very well. Good luck it looks like you got the hang of it. Very good
Looks like you got a workable solution. You keep with the skid steer and you’ll really like it. Keep bringing the good videos you and Captain
Will do thanks for watching
That attachment is definitely going to pay for itself ! I was surprised at how well it worked, certainly going to safe time for you.
Me to and agree
Hey Mike. That grader is awesome. You did really good for someone that sucks on a skid steer. Good video. Keep them coming.
Thanks buddy
Good job I really like them my self. Just got to get used to using them. Makes work alittle simpler.
Yes it does very handy
Good vidja ! Glad to see the grader working for ya !!!
Thanks
Always wondered how they would work never been around one in operation. Nice job Mike thanks for the video 👍🏻
Better then I would have guessed happy with it and thanks
Great attachment Mike! Going to save you some time and deliver professional results. WIN WIN for the "Dirt Perfect Team"
Nice job on the video, work safe, good luck with the cylinder repacks and the wiring interface to your Kabota
Doug@ the "ranch"
Thanks Doug
I gotta say the grader attachement looks a lot more useful than I expected ! In the vid when you went and got it I was thinking you were going to be real disappointed but this vid seemed to show it preforming really well ! I didn't think it would be heavy enough , granted this was all loose material but Your other equipment is for the initial heavy work this will make the finish work better appearing and faster maybe ! A little tweaking and you're in business for a reasonable price ! You can always trade up when you out grow, this one , I,might be interested ! Thanks for the video
Agree with everything you said did not have hi hope my self but very impressed with it
That grader attachment looks to be handier than a pocket on a Dirt Perfect shirt. Which I have never seen do anything yet by the way. 😉
It certainly showed its strength once you weren’t trying to grade out baseball sized and bigger rocks.
I’ve only ever played around on a grader but have heard that a grader is THE most difficult piece of road building equipment to master. Perhaps it could be on your list of machines to operate when you embark on one of your Dirt Perfect on the Road trips you mentioned in the live stream.
Wow that works great for you. Now all you need is a roller to pack it. Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Great driveway.
Excellent idea, grader attachment for skid loader. Perfect size for your operation.
Laid down tens of thousands of loads with grader, dozer.
Prefer thick. And Driver, don’t leave gaps, lol.
That Mylar fabric is amazing stuff, need about 4 inches on it to really start working.
Maybe we need that Driver down the street to show us how it’s done? LW. LOL.
Lol thanks and yes love the fabric
Nice video Mike ! I liked all the camera angles. Those blade attachments do work pretty good we have one almost identical to yours with the laser automation on it for fine grading. We just don't use it as much as we did a few years ago.
Awesome and thanks
Thanks for the video, this sold me.
Great video. Thank you.
Awesome video with camera attached to grader.👍👍👍
wow that grader is nice when you get the wiring in to the joy stick then it will be sweet
Yes exactly
I have a brand new Kubota SVL 95-2s with a Bobcat 108” grader 8way function. It requires a super controller to operate smoothly. I use it manually or with laser control. I was skeptical about it at first, but I quickly fell in love with it. Happy grading!!!!!!
Bet that is a awesome combination
Dirt Perfect took a little time to get used too but when I did it is the cat’s meow. I can grade and finish grade parking lots, building slabs and other places with laser precision.
As always, love the camera angles.
Thanks appreciate the feedback
I am learning so much about dirt that it is interesting. You put the camera in the most coolest places!
Thanks appreciate the feedback and you thanking the time to watch
Good Grader work Mike .like it .
Thanks buddy
Looking forward seeing more videos of it working
Have one more at this point
I have to say it was a good investment cause it looks really handy doing the driveway. Keep up the great videos
Thanks will do my best
I bet grader sales will be going up now. That works great and the skid steer pushes it very nice. It makes me think I need one.
lol yes it did work good
Yea boy, I like it! That grader blade will dress out your projects nicely.
Yes worked great
That looks like an awesome attachment ! Good video.
Thanks
U did a great job on leveling up dirt and gravel I think once u get electrical hooked to skid steer will be better u can handle it better
Thanks and yes new controller is a must
Mike your new grader is slicker than snot on a shovel handle😉 Great video👍
Lol thanks
Good vid and good piece of equipment. Thanks for showing sir.
Thanks for watching Gary
this little grader , reminds me of the small graders we had in vietnam they were air liftable and we used them for leveling helo pads and also landing zones if you staand back at a distance, they looked almost like them some were allis chalmbers and some gallion also worked for a place that had one and had to use it every winter to grade the mud off the road nice rigs that had a purpose and worked well
Cool and thanks for you service John 😁
Enjoyed this video bro, yep does a nice job bro. Safe travels
As usual awesome job.
Thanks vic
The grader attachment looks good Mike 👍🇺🇸
Thanks and the best part is it works good 😁
ahh building road been doin alotta that myself latly ! nice work sunshine as always !!!!!
Yes
I am a little bit disappointed that someone didn’t take the hand shovel and knock that little bit of grass off the crack where the driveway met the roadway. Love the show keep up the good work!👌😊
Sorry and thank
Looks like a keeper. But those toggle switches.. you gotta do something about that 😉. Thanks for the video!
It looks almost like you know what you're doing!
I think that new toy is a good thing to have all around.
Lol almost 🤓😝
That was awesome it worked great considering how much rock you sent to the driveway hahaha Love listening to kleeman too funny
I know the rock worries me a bit but worked good
Have you ever ran a grader? I’ve never used an attachment like that on a skid steer. Looks fun. Love to see more videos of grader attachment. Maybe even cylinder rebuilding
Very little have a video coming in building the controls
Worked better than I thought it would, seemed kinda short to do a good job of leveling but once again I'm wrong. Get it hooked up to your joy stick will be much easier than the toggle set up seems to me.
Yup new controller is a must at this point
Yeah. That grader attachment works well on the driveways. Good choice.
Thanks
Hey Chris, look I can grade too, and it didn't cost me as much lol, great job!
Lol 😝
Great job.👏🏻👏🏻👍
Thanks
You did a really good job. I would recommend watching a few "tips and tricks" vids on operating a grader to shorten the learning curve.
Thanks Tom and have watched a few.
Wow that's awesome, I've never even seen one of those attachments. It'll pay for itself in no time
Yup works good
Love it going to have to own one.
Very handy
That's a cool attachment looks like it works pretty well.
Yup it did
thats a cool contraption !!!!
Thanks for the video, I have wanted to one of those attachments working, do you have any sense yet of how it might do on bigger base rock?
Not bad once you get use to it
I was just thinking they were a bit light in size. I think it was intended to do on dirt not a nasty rock road. I think double size would provide more back pressure and stand up. Hold position.
We bought one of those like 3 years ago lasers are all outdated but my son rigged it up kind of like what you got does a hell of a job for us doing driveways Mike
Yes we are love it for what it is
I think you have a winner!
Me to
Thanks for the update. Like I said on your last video. I've been thinking about getting one of these graders for my business. I'll be looking for one on the used market. Although they are not as common as other attachments. So maybe I'll get a new one will. Also, how many inches of rock did you put down?
Yes found this one by accident and got lucky and six
Cool new toys. Make the job easier.
Thanks and yes sir
I believe mike u would really like the dozer blade for the skid steer. Just remember it's not a dozer. I'm just saying this as u just bought this for ur skid steer. I like the grader attachment. The thing I do like is the dozer blade, mostly I use it for spreading stone, but the bucket works just as well if not better some times.
I'm not sure what the goats in the grass had to do with a grade attachment pushing rocks or dirt but it was what ever.
Interesting! Nice video!
Thanks and thanks for watching
Mike the float is very tricky.. right joystick finger button you have to push it down both down at the same time for it to work..then it will be highlighted on the monitor.. hope thus helps
I can get it to go into float mode but still will not float 🤷♂️
You must fly a drone. That was some of the finest work with a new untested toy I've seen in my 73 years of life an fifty years construction. Good I/hand control, you sin't no nubie on it and it looks like a driveway when done. I am going to wait for the sequel where a hand reaches down and tosses rocks/LOL
Thanks appreciate that
👍 looks good
Thanks
That thing is gonna pay for itself in no time Michael, it’s a bummer about that busted seal but that’s totally fixable!!🤔😃👍 It’s a shame they didn’t use a turntable system like on a road grader , I think you would have a bit finer adjustment , but I’m sure it would make it heavier too!🤔 Love the videos as always , I can’t wait for a new one , it’s kinda like an addiction lol !!🙂👏👏😉🤦🏻♂️😆
lol and thanks
That's a slick little machine
Thanks
Good friend of mine has one of those we run on a 299 cat. Really want to try it on the 906h2 wheel loader I have at the plant. Going to watch the video on how you rigged up that controller real quick
Awesome
If you had the seal kits, you could have resealed those cylinders in the time it took those last two trucks to show up.
Glad that you are happy with it. Now you will be looking for ways to use it.
Agree but seal kits where more then 3 new cylinders 🤷♂️
Well mike I think it’s going to work extra well for you a bit of fine tuning and you have a big winner, I think even captain kleeman could operate it , with some practice , the rock are a pain but that dirt is dry and packed ,so fresh soil look out.
Yup I agree very happy with it
Glad to see the captain making an appearance, grader seems decent, I think we can probably make it better though, overall I grade it a C. 😁
Lol see what you did there 😜
I bet wade could do a better job grading. Lol. Looks good
That worked great! Yes rule number one listen to the tracks 🤣 love the Captain Kleeman commentary too! Awesome job as always! That took some coordination to run that thing I bet! Oh yeah first comment! Boom! 😎🤣
Lol captain Kleeman he is a mess
Elite Earthworks LLC what EVER overachiever. First is the worst second is the best. Just sayin.
JasonWorksAlot well look what the cat drug in 🙄🤣
Elite Earthworks LLC whoa no cats here mister. Coochies only.
JasonWorksAlot good deal! I’m sure we could be friends if there were cats
Great grader.... I thought you got that fill from a rock quarry... I have a grader and it doesn’t like rocks.... especially big ones... LOL 😂 you actually got skills.. even though you don’t wanna brag. I run a super controller on a SVL 95-2s with a Bobcat 108” grader. I wish Kubota would update the joystick controls to increase attachment performance. Happy grading!!! Thanks
Thanks Brent and me to
Dang you got that thing down pat.
If you ever go the laser way, look up ‘sharpgrade leveller’ built in NZ but they export round the world, they’re really popular
Awesome will do thanks
Running the old mennonite switch box, we use them on our dirt pans/ejector buckets and our kefler blades. Once you get use to them, you never want to turn back!
I bet 😁
Dang DP didn't know you like racing gocart YOU AND WADE FAMILY HAVE GOT PRETTY PLACE. Thanks DP from Carrollton georgia
Lol thanks terry
That's a nice little attachment.
Yes it is
I live in east central Alabama and we just don't see hardly any of them down here. Most everyone has a big boy motorgrader.
Nice work
Thanks
That's gonna work great at the race track! 😉
Lol my first thought also 😜
Like the new tool. Actually it's a great tool.
Yup and thanks
You done good young"n.
Thanks
I think you wand the blade angled so the rocks will roll off the end that does not have the guard on the end of your board
Well I saw you have a bulldozer. And you also have the greater attachment for the track loader. Is it difficult to do that road grading with just the bulldozer.
Grader dose a better job fine tuning
Do the front wheels carry enough weight that if you could lock them straight it would help prevent it from trying to push sideways? I know on real graders they lean the front tires to help hold a straight line.
Don’t think that would work you need to turn somehow
Sometimes - as you well know - you see people that just aren't cut out to be operators - of Anything! lol - I'm thinking that was the case with the seller of that grader attachment. He was probably very frustrated - much like your 1st pass - when shit's the roughest - wheels whippin' every which way - then after a couple passes and getting a true feel for it - she starts to come in-line! In the right hands - this attachment is GOLD! Nice Score! I bet you could even get a scarifier implement ahead of the blade on a 4th cylinder?!
I agree and it has a place for the Behind the blade
that blade is gonna be handy, we started using ours to bluetop building pads and finally got the concrete gangs to quit hanging their forms in the air so they didnt have to pick out and hand grade so much.
Awesome love it so far
That attachment works great with that track machine. You'll be dangerous now 😂. At least you got captain kleeman as a rockhound
Lol this is true
Looks like it works well.
Yup happy with it
That doesn't awesome job I can see where that would come in very very handy throughout the years did a good job so far
Yup very handy attachment
Captain chaos wasn't at the controls when the seal went was he? Nice job kleeman .
Lol I wish 🥺😂
I don’t know if you can get stingers for your blade or not I’ve never seen an attachment like that for skid steers, I’ve only ever operated the big ones, John Deere 672A - 672B - 772CH, IMO I think stingers are better than a straight blade because I think they move material across the blade better but that’s just my opinion..Anyways great video...
Thanks ron
what kind of landscape fabric is that the stuff I bought was suposed to be heavy duty drove over it with pick up and it fell apart
The whoop de doos are the problem for me. Was this grader a big improvement versus a tractor with a 3 point blade or say a skid steer with just a bucket? Thats what i have and i just cant master getting rid of the whoop de doos as you called them
Lol yup they are contagious 😜
good job...
Thanks
Nice!
Thanks
I just stopped the video to say this...just about the time you started up with that grader attachment and you were fiddling with those toggle switches I said..."you're gonna like this thing..." and I was right...despite the learning curve and the hydraulic problem it's gonna be a winner for you...now you know what jerry was going thru when he was dealing with that crap coming out of the basement...now back to the show...
Lol yes your are correct on both 😁
How Well do you think a grader attachment would work on a SSQA front end loader and tractor?
Good ? Don’t know for sure
I’m looking to buy a grader for mine. What’s the felt for? I’m guessing so the rock doesn’t smash down into the base? Never used that here.
Keep mud from coming thru
Correct me if im wrong but dont you set them graders up with a lazer lever! Though you dont have to move the blade up and down thought the lazer grader does all that for you? I thought you only have to swipe the material left and right
Can but don’t have to
Neat blade
Thanks
Another nice driveway by Dirt Perfect! Is it easier then the tractor an the drag?
Thanks Toney
Hey Mike it's TONY not Toney
A small rack and a few tractor weights mounted to mold board frame will increase the down force, this helps cutting hard material and you can increase grading speed.
They put the smart driver in front and let the others follow so they dont get lost. Nice job on the driveway, didn't expect it to do as well as it did. I'm sure it was my operator skill than the equipment lol. 🍻
Lol in both but yes it did work better then I would have guessed as well 😁
