What you're referring to are ball gauges. Anyone who has worked with micrometers and other precise measuring tools has probably used a ball gauge. In this usage, they measure how deep your drain pipe is in the hole.
Whoever developed the tiles you use, has made your work to put in the ground and to make the land able to produce the plants they want to grow. It has made your life easier to use. I enjoy watching you plow the tiles into the ground. 😅😊❤

MBTS is gonna' have to eventually take a little Gemini H 600R (or his particular flavor) and touch up the analog plow depth gauge, As with any tool , the longer you go dragging them all over the fields of Indiana, there gonna' show a little wear.
The problem with cameras it’s very hard to distinguish depth so you are still stuck turning around…the smaller plow I used for plowing electrical cables you sat sideways with a rotating seat so you could twist front and back constantly …

Back in the early to mid 90's we had a guy digging my family's gravel pit out and he had all case equipment loader, excavator and bulldozer he loved them.
Never before I saw you putting in field tiles. Have I ever seen so much water running before you finish laying them in. Chris doesn't have to worry about drought conditions in his fields. Aaron has been the best help for putting tiles in sense he built the tile plow for you, Mike. Those slight improvements along the way have really paid off. Great video, Mike.
I know feeling...half my property is solid sandstone hill side and with being on the head waters of the shade river I has 13 springs in the front yard that just won't drain even with tile
