Ao the 2022 5 series 2 litre petrol has exactly the same bhp as my 2014 3 series 320 diesel tourer and is slower to 60MPH... where do I sign up for one of these bad boys?
I thik thats supposed to be a bad thing, that just means they havent improved or changed their interior since 2017. BMW has the most boring interior among all the German cars

Have one, same colour, ivory and wood interior, Msport 520d Lovely car but the run flat tyres are loud on coarse surfaces. Less wind noise than the F10 I had before it. Will be keeping it for a while.
Just to let you know this is the old 5 series. The reason I can tell is because of the centre console and gear stick. I had a 2016 model and now I have a 2020 model and there is a obvious difference!
Im big BMW fan and proud owner of BMW 530XD, but i dont understand this bmw concept in few past years... my 2011 F10 bmw looks 85% the same as this 2022 model.. im not the only one with older bmw 5 waiting for new generation that will be total upgrade, different in many ways... bmw is lacking behind in design improvements, creativity that they had in past years, this makes me very sad... if im going to pay premium and i allways will, i expect best, latest and hotest on the market from bmw... dont sell me facelift 3 generations after you created f10!! i hate to compare it with other brands, but lets be honest, latest audi lineup is steping up the game, and we (bmw hard core fans and users) are waiting for that special touch of sportiness and elegance in one, that only bmw was able to provide... cmon you guys, wake up and make that car pop!!
BMW follows the day in its designs. I don't think this is wrong, but for me, the real BMWs were the ones designed prior to Chris Bangle was brought to head of design department and has killed the brand traditions. BMW used to mean simplicity in design, now we see Hyundais that were put BMW emblem on. None of today's BMWs are as beautiful and charmful as an E38 or E39, that's my opinion as a designer. When I look at an E38 or E39, I see they still look fresh and newly designed.
So glad they kept the classic grill and not that. monstrosity they put on the last series of cars like the m4

Driving the BMW it is conveniently placed and doesn't obstruct the view.
