Love seeing the young generation coming up on the grateful vibes ❤️✌️😊
'It's the hippest'. 😎👍
I haven't been on tour in over 30 years! This looks great.
Last time, I got 2 cans of day-glo paisley for my VW combi!
You can feel the good vibes. Reminds me of Woodstock. Saw Jerry and the guys there, once at a Washington, DC free outdoor concert, once in Baltimore, and once in Santa Barbara. Yes, I'm old too!
Besides Woodstock - what was the lot scene like? And no one's old here...we're just experienced.
@@thecomedyofsteve I don't think there was one! That may have come along a bit later. DC was in a field at American University on a lovely sunny day. They played a long time and it was awesome. Baltimore was indoors at the civic center. I remember they just strolled on stage in normal clothes with the house lights on, plugged in and started playing. Zero show biz! Santa Barbara was at a UCSB stadium. I was across the street at a meditation retreat and heard but didn't see the whole concert. Despite the Dead not much liking their Woodstock performance ( it was late and raining, people were tired, and Jerry was getting electric shocks) I liked it a lot! Great memories! 🕊🎸
Shakedown Street is always fun
Good mementoes
Sometimes a bowl of Ramen can save your life
I love to see people of all different ages there. My first show in '72 I doubt there was anyone over 30 and most of us were under 25. My friends and I were 18.
Yup, first show for me was Roosevelt Stadium 1974. After that I continued seeing them throughout the years and if I had to guess, I'd say maybe 200+ shows up Jerry's passing...just didn't seem the same without him.
its like the Family tree keeps growing !! peace and love will rule the days
Hey Now! Can't wait for Dead Lot Boulder 2023!!!
How was the show?
great video- I had balloons and conversations late night at citifield shakedown night 2 with the sister at the end- about my daughter and learning self defense to be truly bad-ass for late night
Glad it wasn't nitrous balloons. Those bring a terrible vibe to the scene
I miss these days soooooooo much
I remember when the Dead came out with Joan Osborne, and they had to have two lead guitars to make up for what Jerry did. He was amazing.
30 years this year at that same venue (well the spectrum) I saw the Dead for the first time Amazingly there’s video of it shot from close to where I was sitting. Good times
Awesome!!!!!
Thank you
i got tickets for the july 7th show at the gorge, i am so looking forwards too the circus
There is Nothing Like a Grateful Dead Concert...... that's the sticker I put on my guitar case in 1982...and it's still on there!!!
First show 1995 at Solder field - I was home. So Grateful to have been there!!
The most pure feeling I’ve had in my 52 years!
Exceptionally good Lot segment. :)
Thank you kindly!
Heck yeah, me too!

The Dead ,never Die !
Dead lot Philly AC/DC shirt. 😂
Ice Cold Lemon ShakeDowns!
Ice COLD!
UA-cam’s best videos literally come from shakedown. Nothing “staged” if you know what I mean.
That's love
Me too twice in uk
The lot has changed, maybe for the better actually
Amazing this still exists considering the Grateful Dead ceased to exist 27+ years ago.
The Music Never Stops.....
Looking for my friend Sundance...anyone? He is a awesome musician singer guitarist and person. Thx. Blessings to you all. 😊
For sure a lot more calm then it was back in the day but maybe that’s a good thing.
Life on lot isn't calm. Wish it was. These vids are about the fun side of things.
Nice video !!!
Thanks!
Where's the video clip of the barenuckle fist fight? That was entertaining! 🥊💀⚡
They were right down the row from us...There is A LOT of STRESS on the lot. People need to BE KIND!
Where dem spinners?
1rst & only GD show @ LA Sports Arena. . LAPD kicking over an oatmeal pot the guy was trying to make a buck for the next show,, miracal etc.. otherwise a very enlightening ⚡️💀⚡️scene in the parking lot
I believe strongly, its a fashion faux pas to wear another musicians logos, while attending a different musician(s) performance(s).
It's kind of like wearing a Browns shirt to a Steelers game.
You bad boy. Better keep it black and yellow. ✌
I'm normally extremely open-minded. But when it comes to these people, I dunno...
These ARE some of best people on the planet. And leading with being open-minded is tell that you...are not.
@steve swanson really, cause all I see is a bunch of people trying to sell crap to a bunch of other people. This is the one aspect of dead shoes that Jerry hated. And you don't get to tell people there not "open minded" cause it doesn't fit your narrative or view. Maybe your really the closed minded one because you feel people should just get it, and really we just don't care.... the dead are dead... let them be dead.....
Ac/dc t shirt. Wow these young people are confused
music is what it's about...they get it. and if they get confused they can just listen to the music play.
1) The Grateful Dead ended on 8/19/1995. 2) JRAD is a better tribute than D and C. 3) The Phish lot is better even with the Wooks.
1) The Grateful Dead will never end. 2) How can Bobby Weir be a tribute to anything? 3) It's mostly a good time. But it is not better. A lot of Phish fans are shitty people.
@@thecomedyofsteve sadly they ended with the death of Jerry Garcia. That said there is magic out there if you have an open heart and an open mind. Yet, this is not the same thing. Not even close.
@@thecomedyofsteve No need to compare. This comes down to people - & as far as I can see most folks that like this type of music are the best humans this planet has to offer. The ones on the periphery matter little. Peace!!
Gay, gayer, gayest. Don't take the brown acid. 🎉
