Two things I forgot to mention/do in the video:
    1) My glass is a box with 3mm thickness and it has a Cast/Receive shadows turned Off
    2) I forgot to set the color of my translucency to a yellowish tone to simulate that brownish/yellowish dirt color

Dirt is literally one of the most important aspects of creating realistic 3D - so often overlooked. Great tips!

I wanted to add that here, but didn't wanna overcomplicate things for people who didn't see that tutorial :D

Thanks for showing us this. You have no idea how many years I've been battling windows and never quite got there. The explanation of how refraction cancels translucency was exactly what I needed.

I regularly use your realistic mirror material. Window glass is the next great one !

Double-glazed windows are often used, which also adds to the effect

Yup, dust and condensation can get in between those panes too.

Hi, great tutorial! I have a question, how did you make this bumpy bevel on the wall? 3:02 Adds realism but I have no idea how to approach creating it, is it only a texture or geometry?

Yo! If I remember correctly that was FStorm’s bump

Not sure why as I’m copying what you’ve done but in corona and it just doesn’t work very well. am I missing something ?
