- The European Formula Two Championship was a racing series held between 1967-84. The series was contested by aspiring drivers aiming to compete in F1 in the future as well as current Formula One drivers wishing to hone their single seater skills.
In 1983, the series consisted of 12 rounds and the Championship was won by British driver Jonathan Palmer who scored six victories during the season and only missed out on a podium finish on two occasions.

These 80's racing cars were absolutely beautiful, much different of that horrible design fo racing cars from nowaday.
These cars dont hang about. Better quality components and engineering back then, you can just tell looking at them.
Shame Thackwell never got a decent car in F1..one of the great “what if’s”…
Real racing! Beppe Gabbiani could have been a F1 ace, still such an entertaining person when he is interviewed on TV
I love his helmet too.
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 no push to pass , no DRS , no weight success, no fan push...
@@wesleyamancio3686 What ARE you rambling about?
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 categories appeal to these "entertainment". Atlantic Series (which uses cars similar to the F1/indycar of the 70s) does not use this
@@wesleyamancio3686 I was talking about his helmet, and you're rambling off topic about some nonsense beef you have. Take your meds.
Duke, do you know why Bellof had his own livery in F2 and in his first season in F1?
@@AndrewEdwardBailey yes
@@AndrewEdwardBailey why?
Literally a 30 second internet search....
So, Bellof's sponsored car "Maredo" thought it would be a nice idea to incorporate his helmet design into the sponsored livery (which only ran at Monaco in '84). This was because Tyrrell lost Bennetton sponsorship the previous year so they gave Brundle and Bellof 2 different liveries because it would mean more money.
