Thanks for the kind words - happy to hear that it did indeed chug!
Send him a Boden metal NX 8 with Fishman's, & it'll out chug everything. I seriously LOVE mine. Thank you Ola, for everything you do man SERIOUSLY. I've been waiting literally my entire life for something like the Boden to come along. I keep comparing it to a supercar haha. Like for example, when someone says "headless = ugly" I say: when you see a car like a saleen or a Boss mustang, yeah its fast as hell but unless you know what a saleen actually is, it looks EXACTLY the same as a regular V6 slow poke mustang, which is essentially a Camry with a cooler body (& just hardly lol). It takes a trained eye to know that if its a boss/saleen/cobra mustang that it's not normal. However when you see a Ferrari, you know RIGHT AWAY that this is something different. Every single inch of it is designed to be the best most ideal piece for what it does, regardless of look. Beauty is an afterthought to engineerin, and there is no expense spared they don't do things to save money, only to produce a great result. And as a result you get a world class car. Well, fenders and Gibsons are like the mustang, the untrained eye will see zero difference between a $200 squire & a $5000 Suhr, but when you see a .Strandberg*? You know "it's a lambo" right away, because that's how it's been designed, to work great. Not to mention, it literally contains aerospace materials just like a super car (aircraft aluminum & carbon fiber.) And usually when I say that, they catch on pretty quick that it's not just a gimmick guitar. I've done years of sales jobs so making points like this is pretty natural to me, especially when it's about something I so highly believe in myself. (I love the entire philosophy of the company, trying to be sustainable and prove that crazy unsustainable tone woods are not worth it, just a "unicorn hair" for the owner.) I like Ola's comparison to Apple as well, since they're another one of my favorites. It's ALWAYS worth the extra money for the nice stuff. Otherwise you spend 4x in the long run. there's a reason that in the computer world, you can either "get an apple or a PC." Even though the term PC just encompasses every other company besides apple. Part of it is compatability, apple kinda went their own direction and made it so there needs to be at least 2 versions of every software, but the reason they were still successful after saying sure compatibility is because they created SUCH a better product that it was still worth it. A similar learning curve to getting used to an Endurneck profile. But just like apple, once you convert you realize it's FAR superior. My hope is that .Strandberg* does just like apple and takes over the game, since they're the original main innovator in their category just like apple, and then hopefully at some point I can somehow become a part of the game here on the US team. Because there's NOTHING in my life but music, no wife kids or family, I've been using music as my "worthy pursuit" to go all in and dedicate my life to. And there's seriously no company I believe in & believe should be on top of the world more than .Strandberg* Guitars, game changers deserve recognition. And being part of a game changing company is what I've wanted to do my entire life, something I can REALLY live for and not feel wasted. So, get on that expansion @Ola Strandberg, so I can get in on the game! What you're doing is very important, thank you! Companies that push the bar forward in every way are an essential part of global commerce, the guitar industry has been stagnant for a long time. Modern metal, Neo soul, and progressive multi scale stuff is finally moving it forward again. But, we need equipment that can keep up with the rate of improvement! In my opinion, you & Tosin are the 2 most important people in the guitar industry right now. I've already said it too much, but thanks again hahaha I've been waiting for this for YEARS now
Thanks for the cool gear Ola! Love my NX 6 fusion!
Been waiting almost a decade for the lefty model to release. Can’t wait to see if they drop this autumn/winter I’m definitely getting one.
Hey ola, have you ever considered making a guitar out of bamboo?
Maybe you'd consider a lucky fan one of these baby Mr. Olga sir. I can work for you. But, the problem is I'm from the Philippines. 🙏🏻
Strandberg definitely CHUGS but that Peavey combo was not a good option though, it sounded thin and it hardly chugs by itself!
Goes to show a good player will make anything sound good.
it’s because he’s not on the CHUG channel. I own one and trust me that thing goes fucking hard. U just need a different channel.
these are absolutely beautiful and they sound super crispy
I have that exact model and it definitely chugs. It plays all the types of music I love really well. The Suhr pickups are amazing; they're the same pickups featured in the Suhr Modern Satin. Mine weighs 4.5 lbs and is great for traveling.
I have the Satin Modern Pro. Can confirm, those pickups are unreal.
@@spacebomb9126 Tell us how you really feel.
Same. I absolutely love mine.
Wow! 4.5 pounds is like a feather compared to most guitars. That's impressive!
YES. FINALLY. Strandberg range from jazz to prog and djent and all of that stuff, but I never heard anyone chug them chuggz on a Strandberg, and that's something I've always wanted to see
Thank you Ola!
In America today we celebrate Thanksgiving Holiday. I want to add Ola, his videos and Solar Guitars (I own one) to the "List of things I am Thankful for". You rock man!
Strandberg guitars are so nice. One of the guitarists of my band plays the boden metal models with fishmans. Some of the nicest sounding guitars I’ve heard
I love the Boden metal 6 with Fishman's I have one in purple.
I bought my strandberg not long ago, and it definitely is the best decision I've made, the endurnek really helps, i had a hand injury and it used to hurt when I play for long hours, now i barely feel anything other than muscle pain.
the endurneck is the single greatest innovation of guitar since the original fender tele... imho
Strandberg guitars are amazing sounding and looking - so comfortable to play - light - easy to navigate - so many great players have played them at some point Tosin Abasi , Jakub Zyteki , to name just a couple the list is overwhelming - those are 2 of my favorites - thanks Ola both of you! OF COURSE IT CHUGS
The chug meter is really cool I hope you have a nice day🤘🎸
Chugmeter idea was cool.. I'll be catching the previous episodes this week.. greetings bro
Just got one of these in black. It's my favorite guitar to pick up. It just fits me so well and I love the neck and body shape. The pickups are really great too.
My favorite part of any guitar is the headstock
Nerd guitar for posh players.
Lame and hideous.
I own 2 Strandberg guitars, 7 and 8 strings... those are really special guitars, and believe me, you won't want play another guitar after. So light, comfortable, tuning stability is the best. Endure neck feels like the fastest neck... Not to mention Ola (Strandberg) is also a genius for that :)
I own the one in the video and I don't play my other guitars lol, Such awesome guitar
Love the chug meter! Also, Peavey never gets enough credit for their clean tone, those cleans were amazing. Reminds me of my 6505 clean tone
I want to know if those Chug Meters are for sale.
The 6505 can do anything IMHO. Great all around amp.
Thanks for the review! Btw, Kiesel's headless guitars are pretty dope too!
True. Too bad Jeff is a dog lmfao
the Strandberg 7 string is absolutely the most comfortable 7 I've ever picked up. Fantastic guitar!
how long've you had it??? i LOVE my 8 string (her name's natalia :3). Once that neck's worn in.. sweet fuck it's great.
@@Chaosdude341 bought from Sweetwater earlier this year. They had it on sale 20% off. That's a $500 discount I couldn't pass up! It's The Boden Prog NX 7 with Fishman Fluence Moderns.
I just got one as an 8 string! Best metal guitar I ever bought! Mine has Fishman Fluence p/u's.
Ahahaha jump on board the posh express.
Lame asf nerd guitars.
woahhhh, i was just looking into strandbergs last night!
It definitely chugs Ola, awesome demo man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love strandberg!Love!
I want my own chug meter for the holidays!!!!!!
A Strandberg is worth every penny. It's by far the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. The balance, lightness, and ergonomics are unmatched and they sound every bit as good as they feel. Would recommend for any genre of music.
How much is this one in the video
@@recipoldinasty Last i checked they were about $1500. I'd look around the used market though.
@@stevensiwinski8049 just looked it up, they are 2.3k :C, whats that Indonesian fabric made of?gold?
That is a nice guitar, I like that one! 🌲
Strandberg's are by far the most comfortable guitar I have ever played, I own a Boden metal 6 string purple with Fishman Fluence moderns. I love my Strandberg so much the EndurNeck is extremely comfortable to play without causing hand fatigue after playing for a while like some other guitar necks can. It took me almost no time at all to get used to the EnduraNeck after playing on it for only a few minutes I was completely used to it. The whole guitar is specifically designed the way it is to be completely ergonomic to play.
@@spacebomb9126 ok boomer, go back to playing minor pentatonic scale
@@spacebomb9126 massively lame - wow - why is it so many great players love them and record with them - Ola Strandberg is a innovator/genius all of us with open minds to new ideas appreciate his work thanks so much Ola!
@@alexbrumar4870 I really hope this is sarcasm haha that's about the most un-boomer thing you could ever say. Boomer would be: "that gat darn no headed thing is just too damn ugly, I don't care that it plays like a dream and that the neck is a legit miracle because you can play 6 hours with no pain at all, I just prefer my old Gibson which I need to tune between every song. I just love the extra weight digging in my shoulder to let me know it's real" THAT would be boomer-ish haha. Kinda like how they all complain they can't see their phone screens so you can't text them, then in the same breathe talk about how they hate how big modern phone screens are and don't want to upgrade 😂
It's just ridiculous isn't it! I've had many awesome musicmans, ibanez, esp, ormsby, you name it. But recently purchasing my first strandberg I actually can't believe it. It's the PERFECT guitar, I honestly don't think I will ever play anything else.
@@zaidtenace7265 Sold all my guitars off [Kiesel/Jackson/Ibanez] and now own 3 Strands [Cosmo, Plini and NX6 charcoal .I love them !!
Love the chug meter man
Have had my Boden Prog NX6 in Earth Green for about 2 months and I love it more each time I play it.
I love the look of these guitars. I've gone from hating headless guitars to being intrigued.
Damn man even your intro sound sync clap is metal!
I needed this today... thanks Ola
I love my guitar earth green prog Stranberg. It spanky , clean and breaths fire all in one. ❤
"Its pretty metal , as you can see right here" my first real laugh of the week thanks ola
You inspire me!
I agree, they are by far the best looking headless guitar. I'd be really curious what Ola could come up with in a faux headstock for them.
Yes. It is a really cool looking guitar!! 🎸😀👍
This guitar sounds pretty incredible! Usually not a fan of this style. But wow. Almost has a semi hollow sound
which in other words mean it sounds like shit for Metal/Chugging.
IIRC it's a chambered body (the body has hollow parts in it), which is probably why it kind of sounds hollow body-ish.
@@static_motion Don't think that would effect the tone
probably is mostly the amp making it chug. i think a 100 guitar can also chug in a 2k dollars amp
it actually is semi hollow! it's a chambered guitar body, which is part of why it only weighs about 3-5 lbs
Great Guitar!!🤘😳🔥
Wicked My Friend New Follower!! Your Incredible Ola. Thank you for inspiring us brother!! Respect Always
this guitar sounds sooooo awesome :D
Love that guitar. It's on the list ....
The other headless guitars are for the most part just a guitar with no headstock. The Strandberg is ergonomic from the ground up. Love classic guitars but as far as a modern guitar the Strandberg is one of the best and most innovative for sure.
A camera above the amp knobs to show what you’re doing to it would be sick!
fantastic idea. i hope mr la does so
Luv those Peavey Vyper amps
You have to love the brutality of those Peavey Vypers. I bought one to keep at my Dad's place for when I visit and every time I go over there I'm like damn this thing is brutal in a good way.
Of course it chugs you played a new level
That comment about price point was on point.
That chug o meter is bad ass
I do love the shape and look of the bodens but for me the out and out best look and shape is the Ormsby Goliath for headless guitars.
I am a fan of ‘will it chugg’. I do not play metal. But I like to see if the product I like will perform for a metal player.
Many young guitar players have a teacher who do not play metal. They can allso see if gear performs within the genre. ❤❤❤!! Approved! 😂
The riff at 3:17, is that from a song or is it pure Ola awesomeness?
I’ve heard you play it in several videos and it’s pretty sick 😎
Those are so awesome, and chuggy
Please Tell us about the chug meter Ola! How does it work? Who made it...etc?
Good day, mate!
I bought some lace sensor holy grails for surf tones. I put a mxr gt-od in front of amp and it chugs like a beast.
I like how when you played a new level it went up😂
Bought my first berg, now it's all in play. Got a seven incoming.
What about that locking alternative tuning bridge Eddie VH used in 5150 era in his model? is that current?
Ola! You should do a review of the Ibanez ts9 tube screamer! 😁
Yes sir!!!🤘😎👍
Ola I'm thinking about buying a Randall RG75G3. There's not much on UA-cam about it. Do you think I could get a dime sound out of it?
Chug chug lets go😀🤘🤘
The chug is in the hands
Yeah the Chug Meter is awesome ;)
I guess Nate slammed like the moment he found out you used a Vypyr🤣🔥🤘🏻
What I like of this review is the comments about the playability of the instrument and the feeling it has. About the segment, I think that there should be a standard rig, gear or EQ to have a point of reference to compare things. It would be less fun, I admit it, but a no-name guitar with average pups through a dual rectifier will definitely sound better than this. There could be a beginner rig and an initiated rig for instance. The same can apply for the amps with a standard rig of a guitar and pedal loop chain. Maybe I overthink this.
So aggressive, highs scratching my ears like needles....so fine^^
Let's all just chug it!🎸🤘🤘
That nastiness at 3:17 was so sick, it's plagued. What piece is that from??
I have the 8 string. Great guitar. Thought the longer scale lengths make it harder to play that my strat guitars
Gotta try and get your hands on the Boden V model, Sarah Longfields demo was haunting I’d love to see the thing chug with its synth sounding focus
omfg a synth pedal would sound amazing. Imagine a tremolo and a sustainiac. good lord.
@@Chaosdude341 that thing has an entire library of synths preloaded on it, if i could find one for less than 2k I’d jump on it
get all jesse kanda on them strings
@@NutTapActual I had no idea, but now I have distinctly specific GAS. Why did you do this to me lmao
@@NutTapActual this and a synthaxe and I'll die a happy man
@@Chaosdude341 the dream, all one could ask for really
Holidays are a’coming!
Hello, you are going to bring more chug metal with other guitars?
Try a Steinberger Spirit for your next headless chugging video ! think they're the originators of headless design, if not the perfection.
Are those chug meters for sale? Because I’ll totally buy at least 3.
6:05 "It did chugged."
Anyone else wanna see this on some merch?
I wanted one but I didn't know it was made in Indonesia. That's expensive as hell considering it probably only cost a couple hundred to make
Per Nilsson has entered the chat.
We need chug meter Vst, I want to know more about my preamplifier setup
The riff at 3:18 blew my mind !! :) Is that an original riff Ola ?
Hey, Ola. Can you make a 'Will it chug' for SG Gibson? I think that would be a great idea.
You should do a WILL IT CHUG with a Kiesel, would love to see that
Chug meter going into production? 🙏🏼
At a local guitar shop playing around - I picked up the headless Ibanez and FUCKING LOVED IT. thought I would hate it but it was a sweet ride. For 800 bucks I only partly regret not getting it. Everyone go try out a headless guitar. I bet 90% of you will be pleasantly surprised.
If I had the money I'd get one with a 3-way toggle and a whammy bar as my work horse guitar and one of those fan fret 5-way selectors for experimentation and trying new sounds with the split coils.
Do heavy strings chug? I put 12 through 62's on a telecaster loaded with EMG 81. Tuned to E standard and it doesn't chug anymore. I guess the ability to pick the strings sharp is part of the chug.
Those pickups are mighty. Even at max Chug, u can still hear individual notes in a full chord.
Suhr pickups in them
Ola, have you ever heard or looked at Valravn guitars out of Ukraine? I have one on the way. Amazing looking headless from a small shop.
Definitely does Chug ! 🤘🔥🤘Cool guitar 🎸 never understood these headless guitars… definitely has a unique sound to it the headless.
If I got a headless guitar it would definitely be Strandberg… best looking one by Far !!! Damn expensive for an Indonesian made though 😮
There are cheaper models like mine... the standard series that I would not change with the Ibanez even though Ibanez is cheaper and has great pickups. The Strandberg original lacks in the pickup domain. I changed them. If they had Duncan solar I wouldn't :)
We need a chug meter pedal or integrated into an apt head.🤘. I wish I could afford to be a member I have so many questions
2:54 A NEW LEVEL…
OF CHUUUUUUUUUUG
Should do a will it chug with Alexis guitar that would be awesome 😎
You should test if a fender Stratocaster can chugggg! It would be sick to hear if it can.
kinda sucks that you can't order a natural on their website anymore. Anybody knows if they'll ever bring it back?
When is a Solar headless coming out?
I need a chug meter!
strandberg guitar always remind me of Professor Rhoma Irama's guitar the Dang Dut King if the world. Strandberg is the best headless guitar ever
I chuckled at “headless people” lol
IT CHUGGGGGGSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ola you should include tunings in these. Just anything tuned low seems more likely to chug easier. I notice you use a lot of different tunings. Cool.
Hey Ola, can you do an Ola learns for Machine head Aesthetics of hate, or Imperium?? Much love man
3.16 can somone tell, where this riff is from? it sounds so familiar... I believe its a feared song, but i cant remember which one
