You might not need to dig out the bunker to see it. If you can rent a long Endoscopic camera, you could snake it down that ventilation shaft and see if you can get to the interior. It might be a lot less risky, and you'd be safer than risking going into the bunker directly.

I love your videos! My mom was born in Berlin in 1937 and lived through the war. I remember her telling that there was a bunker in Berlin that was built, that the Russians couldn't destroy, so they just covered it over and built a park over it. On a side note my Opa was 3./Flak.Ers.Abt.26, Flak-Regiment 59, he made it through the war.

Not that I've ever been to Berlin, but I've heard tell of a park with a fair sized hill in it. If this is the place, then what I've read in a few spots, this might be a flak tower. My understanding is effectively a multi story structure built for AAA purposes.

As a long time history buff focused on WW2 and other wars as well, I’ve often wondered what the gun emplacements and bunkers looked like and your videos so far are the only way most of us will ever get to see them. I can almost hear the sounds and feel the anticipation that some may have felt in that place in person. It makes me embarrassed to acknowledge that I’ve not visited nor searched for some of the known history of my locality and have yet to plan an outing. It’s easier to view your videos of history I’ve read about than to do the same here. - I’m gonna go search something out while I still can.

In 1964 I was 10 years old and my family lived in Scheveningen for a year. We lived near the beach, not far from these dunes. As an American with no ability to speak Dutch, I had a very small group of English speaking friends. We roamed around the area. The absolutely joyless, drab pier and amusement area by the beach made no sense at all to us. The visitors never smiled. We avoided it. We would frequently sneak under the barbed wire fence to an area within the dunes, ignoring its warning signs about the risk of uncleared land mines. We didn't believe the signs, but we never told our parents about going into the dunes! We played "army" back in there.
There was a lot of rusting and unidentifiable metal scattered around and there were several hollow bunkers, looking out to the gloomy ocean forever for something that will never again come. There were a few rabbits and sea gulls, but we never saw another human being back in the dunes - it was "our" place.
There was a highly unique feeling to the area. I remember a sense of complete desolation - possibly because of the verboten nature of the place, but it was also because of the grey and featureless skies, colorless ocean, biting onshore wind and pervasive solitude. Strangely, the fun we had seemed to be sharpened and intensified by the bleakness. At the time, I even wondered (in the words and thoughts of a 10 year old) about why we could have so much fun in such a foreboding place. My adult self answers with the idea that maybe war and conflict leaves an angry God and an emptiness in the world that needs time and the play of children to heal. If so, I'm glad that we could help.

@@WW2HistoryHunter there are multiple entrances around the city, I did manage to see a tiger tank when I went in them back in the 70s

Another excellent video, hoping you get to open it up if the farmer ok's it. You would think the farmer would like the idea of leaving it open so he could store items in it.
