Mark deserved so much more. AND, he handled it all with class.
Mark Andes Should be a multimillionaire. He has been a member of some unbelievably incredible bands. not the least of which is SPIRIT!
Thank you for this great interview with Mark Andes! He is a veteran of the LA music scene and a great musician. Mark is the reason that I became a bass player. Not only is he a tremendous bass man, he is a very nice person as well. Mark is always friendly and approachable to his fans. I have been blessed to see him in Spirit several times as well as most of the LA shows with JoJo Gunne. I saw Firefall the first time around, and as recently as 2018. I also saw him with Dan Fogelsberg in 2003. Thanks for the music and the memories. Stay healthy and Rock On!
Mr Andes, where do I begin, Spirit one of the first albums (remember albums ) I ever bought as a young man. Then years later, firefall and heart. But back to Spirit and Randy, what a tragedy, I hope his son has made him proud. I had read somewhere his step dad Ed was an old school jazz drummer? I bet he had some stories. May the rest of your journey in this world be blessed and thank you for wonderful years of listening pleasure.
I wasn't familiar with Mr. Andes history. He was a part of some great bands! I only became familiar with him from his time in Heart. They had such a killer line up with Carmassi, Leese, Andes, and the Wilson's! Huge fan of his bass playing! Thanks for the interview John!
John, I really appreciate your interview process. You are really good at what you do. And, thank you for interviewing Mark Andes. In my opinion, he is a legend.
These interviews are always so well done. Thank you.
Brother John!!! Another great interview. I have been a Mark Andes fan since Spirit. When I first heard Line on You; I was hooked. Natures Way??? Fegitabatit!!!!!!! Looking forward to the next installation of the interview. Have a great Friday. God bless.
Great to have an interview with Mark. I’ve always been a huge fan of Spirit.
Love Mark Andes !
This man's career is extraordinary spirit, firefall and heart what a talented man
great interview ........... I'm 70 and one of the best bands I always loved was Spirit, and have followed Mark for years and the different bands he's been in . . . .Loved Firefall ...............
What da? I’m 54, watching “Cannon” and looked up actor Keith Andes, once again. I then clicked on his son and just found out he was in Firefall! Huh? I looove their music!! You Are The Woman is my absolute fav from them. 💃🏾💃🏾
Excellent interview, as usual. Love Firefall and didn't know a lot of what he shared.
COMMENT #1... Loved Firefall. If you can get some of their live stuff with the original members you will hear the recorded material.... just good harmonies and musicianship. They have 4-5 songs that will be listened to for the next 1000 years.
Years ago ('78 I think), Firefall played at my college and part of my job was to escort Mark Andes from the car to backstage that day. I was a fan of Spirit as well as Firefall and we had a nice conversation about both bands. I was a fledging bass player in those days and his advice was when you finish practicing, take a break and practice again. Will always be a Mark Andes fan.
very interesting... cant wait for the next part... Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!
Excellent bass player. Rich history.
Andes is tough and like the bass player you want...Spirit Jo Jo Gunne Firefall and Heart...amazing
Love spirit and firefall
Kool interview, always a Firefall fan and Marks playing.

he was great with heart.
Love spirit....got to see jo jo gunne though...
Love you, Big Brother!
The only possible drummer for Spirit was Ed Cassidy. Period. RIP.
