Hey Shawn. I like the platter! Pretty FL/Cactus bowl is pretty! LOL! MOTHER BEEPER !😂 We all get unloads that are less than satisfying. Lots of nice pieces.
Shawn, thanks for sharing. I might try the cactus, frosted lemon and celadon bloom combination. Also, you may not care for neutral… but there’s always someone who does!
The thing about pottery is when you first see it you may not like it because it doesn’t look like you thought it was going to look like. Give it a few days and you’ll see it’s actually better than you thought.
I think you are too hard on yourself. It's unfortunate the butter keeper didn't fit. But hey, the two separate pieces look great individually. The platter is beautiful, the celadon bloom is a lovely glaze. It's all a learning process. I'm yet to teach myself to wheel throw. I'm handbuilding for now and learning to do successful glaze firings. It can be challenging to achieve nice glaze combination's. Getting the right thickness, colour and type is an art in itself. I think you're doing great. Happy potting and take care 😊
Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for watching !
First time making a platter … I should have left it one glaze … I almost caught myself with the “F” bomb 😮! Thanks for watching !!!
