I can recall the 1000 ton coasters coming in on the tide ìn the 70s loading and unloading by the granary we spoke to a skipper and he said still quicker to/from Holland than driving south to channel crossing.. All gone now but still a superb place to visit by car or boat Super Fish and Chips and for me many happy memories..
