Hey, Joel, my son, you think like only old things of my time and popular in France as Michel Sardou or Mireille Mathieu? No, l like large sort of music... Classic, jazz, old 1900 French songs, country and new indie pop... But, really, not rap... From France.

They play all the singles plus "It's Not Fun" and "Supermarket" here and they sound great. The version of Angelica is better than most live versions. This is a great live session.
Ok. I just heard Wet Leg on the radio yesterday. I was intrigued by such a fresh, new- yet- familiar sound. Looked up their song " Chaise Loungue" today, honestly expecting the band to have no other good songs. Such bands abound. But Oh, was I so happily proven wrong! Not since Adele's "21" album had I loved every song from another artist, until today. Wet Leg, you can count on another fan in me. I love and highly appreciate your musical talents. I am looking forward to the next time they are in LA!. Thank you @3voor12 Radio for this session.
KEXP quality recording. Superb way to see this fine new band. Love every song they have unleashed on us so far. Supermarket and Too Late Now, my favourites. Classic Indie yet , so fresh. The Wet Leg’s! will be piling onto Isle of Wight to see these guys at the islands festival, which they will surely headline soon.
i def love too late now live. ive listened to the first 2 songs over and over for a while now. is "its not fun" a new song? i cant find it anywhere....wicked Rentals vibe.
I first heard Wet Leg about a month ago (thank you Britt!) and i have been hooked, no wait, addicted!, no thats not right, ive been strung out, ummm that cant be right. Oh well, either way, "i got too high'yeiigh'yeiiigh yeighigh!"
Every time I scan through the live performances I have a slight feeling of dread that it won't somehow be as good as other shows but this was perfect from the intro and didn't diminish ... even the golden duck seems to fit in with these guys! Totally unique and they fit together beautifully. They have already achieved something really special.
This band is incredible! I love their music so much. I don't know why but I really feel like I was listening to them when I was a teenager (about 20 years ago). And they have such an amazing energy !
Sweeter than sugar they are the yellow of lemons best thing since oxygen wet leg is water in my realm . Drink it up .music for modern living it's about time. I'm a fanatic uncontrollably exploding .wet leg thank you
Luuuuurve this band. And everyone is such a clearly defined part. They wouldn't be who they are in the absence of anyone. A proper old school gang of a band.
This is one of the crispest live recordings of this band. They're only on lowlands in NL this summer it seems. To bad for me, no way I'm going to be able to catch them there.
with that synthesizer it kinda reminds me of The Rentals too late now sounds much better live...when Hester's guitar part comes in....dreamy. "angelica" has been my most played song since the album came out. that shoegaze blast is heaven. 3voor12 has some really good shows...i remember Dream Wife and Speedy Ortiz being ones i really liked.
I'm thinking more like 1988 college scene to MTV 120 Minutes in 1989. They would be opening for Pumpkins , Pixies , B52s. It would be that quick. Soon after they would be headlining putting major hurt on B52 , Breeders & Garbage etc video - radio air time throughout 90s. No doubt they would be one of the top Alternative/progressive rock bands of that decade. Bigger then Teen Spirit 1991? No. I do understand your excitement on their sound , they 100% got it. The band needs to spend lots of time preforming in Nashville TN 18-32 club scene. Very good things will come from it.
So they reference Buffalo, NY in a couple of ways. First, in mentioning the Indy movie Buffalo 66. It was filmed here and directed by a Buffalonian. Then in this video the drummer has on a shirt from a n obscure business that is not 40 minutes south of Buffalo. Hmmm, what gives? I’m in Buffalo and formally invite the band to stay at my house when they tour in this area. I promise to show them around. :-)
Hester 's compelling guitar work on Chaise Longue just makes me go bonkers! Point that camera at Hester's fingers! (you camera people need to get over this problem with guitar heroship!)
A band with a babe on bass! That first song, how it change in temp and mood, brillant. Good beat , great voice and nice touch of electronics. Nice lyrics. I love this. And when you listen for the first time you can't predict how a song wil ends. Keeps me listening to this.
Maybe thanks to the rather lifeless ambience but they were not their usual bouncy selves, in fact Hester looked as if she’d rather be somewhere else. Great sound, great band but something amiss here.
Over the wk end and not sure how but came across this... Listening to Wolf Alice TRSMT 2022, amazing listen not comparing either this half hour is added... Bit KOL to Sea Sick Steve... N more, only constant positive to truck driving 😂🤣
Agree. Once I read your comment I couldn't stop noticing. Anyone can have a bad day at the office I guess. Still she sounds great - great mix on this recording.
The sirenes (first song)are too much for me. It does distract too much from what is played and that is not so good. Later on in the song it proves to be an OK composition.
The band is super amazing, live and studio. But that dude in the keyboard keeping that extremely distracting electronic wooooweeeewoooo is straight up trash. Know when to make the noises because the talent is clearly the two girls and the bass player. Matter of fact, get rid of that guy altogether. He isn't needed. The band has an amazing sound, that terrible synthesizer just needs to be removed
I discover the group... Good surprise... Excellent live... I'm 75 'old and l like this sound! From France.

just checking out this band now, they have 2 songs on Canadian charts atm, like what I hear. 58 years here
I love the bassist's choices and the fact that you can actually hear him.
That's their secret! They know how important a FAT rhythm section is!
The whole session's beautifully produced
I have been thinking the same thing! Makes practicing the bass easier to follow❤
Kudos to the sound engineer at 3voor12. This is KEXP level recording.

Yes. The superb sound quality adds another dimension to the live performance. Thoroughly enjoyed cranking it up on the surround sound

Most serious Ive seen them. Great band
This is the first video I noticed the most energy from the drummer. He is a straight boss. John Bohnham vibes
Check out their Tiny Desk concert, he is great there too!
He's great, The drummer and the bassist are consistently tight.
Stan Lynch from early Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers vibes
Damn that drummer got it on!
