    That was great editing when backed under the trailer and made it look like everything got hooked up without you getting out of the truck 👍😎

    After 47 years of owning trucks and knowing every make and model old and new i currently run older trucks as nowadays all teucks other than cabs and hoods are all about the same. I started out with a 4070A then a 4070B then to my first hood a 4300 Eagle and after they did away with the "F" cabs i went to Kenworth trucks but had a little bit of everything.

    They are going to have Scania engine's in them if they put the 16 ltr V8s in them it will be a game changer i think they are over 800hp now nothing can catch them on the road in Australia

    I drive the same truck two little things I dislike is the door doesn't open very far and that you need a key to open the sidebox wish it had a latch on the inside. But besides that its good and I pull heavy with it gross 140,000. Also that was neat when you did the tug test and everything was hooked up and rooling that was funny

      @Mike__james I agree on the door not opening far enough, they could've cab mounted the mirrors and let the doors swing closer to the air cans

    I use to do semi truck inspections and it is always safer to use a flashlight and inspect the brakes top and bottom including drum. Sometimes they look good but have a fine crack in them!

    Great video you just got a new subscriber. Can you tell me how much the truck cost?

      @keithventress1672 It was 200k out the door with the Herd bumper and APU, they were ordered in '22, showed up in May of '23 as '24 models

    Why I always personally can't stand a Peterbilt. Inside cab width. No different than sitting in a small car. Why people can't understand why I drive Ford pickups and now a Ford transit cargo van. Cab width. Very sharp truck.

      Everybody has a preference, I can't stand wide cabs because all my paperwork etc goes on the passenger seat and in a wide cab you have to stretch way over and put your hand on the floor to get anything. Some guys I know have built a console for that stuff between the seats and then you are right back to the acrobatics required to get back in the sleeper on a narrow cab😂

    • @joenoe9952
      @joenoe9952 Місяць тому +3

      Also peterbilt and kenworth have had a wide cab for years, just depends what model you get.

    International has a good looking truck,I just never understood why they have the shifting handle go at an angle! Doesn’t look good and when the clutch gets some mileage it makes it more difficult to float gears

    I love pre 2000s International trucks, then they just started using one cab for everything so yeah

    Not only did VW Group / International design a much better looking Truck looking as real as it gets... it's simply better.
    And to see this video back that theory up does tell me Paccar is starting too get close to the tip of an iceberg.
    The 569s are a Ripoff 9990 i

    Curious why you didn't go disc brakes all the way around?

    • @t.n.tgarageandperformance
      @t.n.tgarageandperformance  Місяць тому +8

      @scottsymons6152 I personally prefer drum brakes, in my experience, initial pedal input is much quicker than discs. Also, component costs are cheaper on drum brakes. We can replace a drum, shoes, s-cam, and slack for less than the cost of one rotor if it were to fail.

    • @daneblackburn613
      @daneblackburn613 Місяць тому +4

      You made the right choice. Disc brakes are crazy money when they need fixin

      Same here. Spec'd my LT625 with drums all around. Easy enough to work on. Parts cheaper when they need to be replaced.

    only thing i dislike about tha hx is under tha bunk storage not going all tha way across tha cab
    anyways after 200k how has your def system and electrical hold up? i know these things notorius for tha terrible wiring

    • @t.n.tgarageandperformance
      @t.n.tgarageandperformance  17 днів тому +1

      @412hwc I had a NOx sensor fail at 60k, but nothing else has gone wrong emissions wise. And the only electrical oddity was my turn signal in my passenger side spot mirror quit working for 6 months and suddenly started working again.
      We got our 2 back to back off the line, and the other truck hasn't had any issues with the exception of a blend door issue with the hvac

      @ yea thats pretty damn good man! ive been lookin at these for over 2 years now. im kinda in tha market and kinda not. i got a paid off t680 mid roof and idk if i want to do it again if tha market doesnt improve. its either going to be this hx or a pete 567(which i had as a company driver) and i loved that trucc. but this hx doesnt seem as plasticy inside if that makes sense. but im a flat bedder and not having that storage u der the bunk is kind of a pain in tha ass....i wish i had w900 money to blow lol buuut yea i need tha power ball for that. and yea those w990s are ugly af....

    What is re cell on this truck vs peterbilt and kenworth w900

    • @t.n.tgarageandperformance
      @t.n.tgarageandperformance  Місяць тому +1

      @michaeltaylor8292 apples for apples from what I've seen on Truck Paper, 2022 and newer HX (new cab) is on average listed at 10-15k less than a comparable W9 or 389, there's not a whole lot of used listing's for used Next-gen HX's to get a real good average

    Dude, I think you just happened to get a non-lemon! International are the worst trucks on the market next to Freightliner! They are shaky and rattley and are straight trash trucks! They are great money makers, though!

      Far from it we have plenty of them in Australia they are a tough truck like anything if you have some sausage that can't perform the most basic maintenance they will soon look like rubbish doesn't matter what makes of trucks inters are the smart man's choice

    A buddy of mine has had a 19 13 letter shit spreader HX, he’s got 500,000 on it and calls it the plastic POS. Not a well built truck at all

    The only International truck worth anything is the older ones…..and than only because they are cheap…..cheap for a reason. Their engines are absolutely junk. Their version of the emissions system
    is by far the biggest disaster ever built. Point is if you buy one, you own it. Can’t give the stupid things away.
    Now, the Cummins engine is better……not much……..

    That’s the power of marketing you still won’t be as cool as a Peterbilt truck 😂
