New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABFS02889
This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2007-2013 Mini Cooper. Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2007 Mini Cooper
    2008 Mini Cooper
    2009 Mini Cooper
    2010 Mini Cooper
    2011 Mini Cooper
    2012 Mini Cooper
    2013 Mini Cooper

at 6:40, you're missing an important step (IMHO). The master cylinder reservoir cap has to come off and most likely some fluid siphoned out if it was topped off at any point since the last time brakes were done. If not, the fluid will overflow out of the tank (or spray out through holes in the cap) and cause a mess, including possible damage to paint under the hood because brake fluid destroys paint. The opening should be surrounded with rags to absorb any spilled fluid.

You mention a T30 to remove the rotor screw. In my 2013 Mini Cooper hatchback it was actually a T47. Also, you seem to forget to put the rotor screw back on. Finally, it would be good to remind viewers that the pads are not all the same. The ones made for the sensor are slightly more protuberant, and should be placed on the side closest to the engine.

Great video! My stepson just got a Mini, and it needs front pads and rotors. I was hopeful that the job wouldn’t be too involved.

Do you need to bleed the brakes after changing? You took the cap off of the bleed bib but didn’t do anything with it unless I missed it.

Thanks for clear, concise video. These are very useful for part time DIYers who need a reminder before starting a job:) btw who uses new caliper bracket bolts and guide pin bolts? That’s what Mini Haynes manual says in uk.

And did the cc id 071 pilot turn off? I see you used the same brake sensor, like knowing it's not damaged?
