Two years late but I wanna add that Kingfin is TERRIFYING lmao. The intro that shows his teeth, the corpse-like appearance, the fact that his face and teeth make up 50% of his body… all that plus the Galaxy’s atmosphere make this fight a very memorable one Also, he takes 5 hits to kill instead of the usual 3, which I find unique
i really agree with how you guys ranked them (the bouldergeist and final bowser boss fights are truly top tier and i’m glad to see them getting the appreciation they deserve) but i have to put the fiery dino piranha dead last out of pure spite for the trouble and stress that thing gave me as a child great video overall though! nice to see actual gameplay mechanics and difficulty being taken into account in boss rankings rather than just nostalgia and personal opinion. keep it up!
Alex here, glad ya liked it! We've got a ranking of every galaxy in the game from worst to best coming in the near future, so stay tuned for that if this video was up your alley!
Jack here, thanks for watching and most importantly I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I agree for with Bowser and Bouldergeist but honestly when I was little Kamella kicked my ass so if this was say 8 year old me I’d have her dead last all day. And of course, we try to make the videos as engaging as possible while avoiding extreme subjectivity and external factors like nostalgia, so I’m glad you noticed that as well. Thanks brotha!
Great video, Guys! I still remember getting Super Mario Galaxy when it came out, and it completely blew my 13-year-old mind. It's still my favorite Mario platformer of all time, although I haven't played Sunshine or Odyssey, myself. While Yoshi's Island probably has my favorite boss roster from any of the Mario games, this one's definitely up there in that category. Bouldergeist is probably my personal favorite boss, and I think he's the most challenging in the game (especially, in the Daredevil Challenge). The final Bowser fight and Bowser Jr.'s Airship would definitely be my second and third, respectively, as I consider them the best of the Dome Bosses. Megaleg is definitely one of the most memorable bosses in my opinion, but he is incredibly easy and ultimately feels like a simplified version of one of the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus. Since you guys like doing boss ranking videos, I was wondering if you've ever played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's one of the quintessential Metroidvania games (alongside Super Metroid) and stands as one of the best PS1 games. While it's definitely on the easy side, it has plenty of great bosses, excellent areas of the castle to explore, and one of the greatest soundtracks in any game in my opinion. If you're interested, Symphony of the Night is available on PS4 in a collection called Castlevania: Requiem, which also includes Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (which also has an excellent boss roster). Anyway, thanks again for the excellent videos, Guys! I always look forward to your content!
Alex here, glad ya liked this video as well. I never actually played castlevania but I ought to sometime. Closest thing I've played is the Splatterhouse games if you know those, at least in regards to theme.
Jack here, glad you enjoyed. I definitely want to rank Shadow of the Colossus eventually, but that’s way down the road. I really like the bosses of this game and Galaxy 2’s are really close competition. Preciate you bro!
@@Cytonox Yeah, Castlevania is thematically similar to Splatterhouse, as you said, but the gameplay is different. The earlier games (those before Symphony of the Night) were stage-based platformers similar to the Mega Man games, but they were brutally difficult. Honestly, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse on the NES is probably the hardest game I've ever played. Symphony of the Night shook up the formula by following more in Super Metroid's footsteps than the earlier Castlevanias, giving rise to the Metroidvania genre. So, Symphony of the Night plays more like Hollow Knight but significantly easier.
@@Cytonox Shadow of the Colossus has one of my favorite boss rosters of any game, so that would be a cool list to see down the road. Overall, I like Galaxy 1 more than Galaxy 2, but I think the second game has possibly even better bosses than the first. I remember especially liking the Bowser Jr. fights, with the Boomsday Machine being one of my favorites.
For me Megaleg takes the number 1 spot for how creative and unique he is given this is a Mario game. I still remember the first time seeing him and being taken aback by his sheer size and odd Shift like nose and fly like eyes 😂 I question what exactly Bowser Jr. was thinking when creating him because yes Megaleg has three huge legs, but whats with the face? Not like it really matters because I love him that much more, but still it’s curious how he came to be lol.
Been loving your videos as I’ve binged them the last couple days and it’s been such a blast. I gotta ask though. Why did you skip sekiro? It’s such a good game with amazing bosses. Thought you’d be all over it
Jack here on my personal account, if I recall we talked about it a while back on another video but generally speaking neither of us really like Sekiro. The bosses feel repetitive and aren’t very interesting, but when Elden Ring comes out be 100% sure we’ll have a ranking ready to go.
I had a hard ass time in the daredevil run with far too many rages to count but I prevailed and I was able to beat him 😂. I guess sometimes it’s easier for other people definitely

Who do you agree with more?
My favourite boss is the Megaleg fight. In my opinion, the final boss is too easy for a final boss.
You forgot the Undergrunt Gunner in the Deep Dark Galaxy
I personally agree with Alex’s ranking in the final Bowser fight is easily one of the best fight fights in the Mario series

The reason the coconuts are green is because coconuts are green until they become ripe just like bananas 🥥🍌
That's actually kinda interesting to know, neat trivia-Alex
lol all coconuts are green, that brown coconut you see is the coconut without the top layer of it.
holy shit

yeah, but the one in deep dark is a miniboss, so i get why they didn't count it
