    This comment is for the person that uploaded these videos, I just want to say thank you so much! I get real depressed sometimes, and I've always been a huge NASCAR fan, and every time I watch these videos, they make me laugh and make me feel a whole lot better. I just really appreciate these videos. I've watched them quite a few times now. Watching them right now as a matter of fact. God bless you!

    • @notthatfatboy6519
      @notthatfatboy6519 4 роки тому +3

      Nobody’s “shitting” on anyone. Sure things have evolved and become a bit stale, but yeah let’s just go back to 15 people dying a week, that’ll fix the sport. Your “golden time” of racing, while badass as could be, killed more talented race car drivers that could be sitting in this video.

    • @DarkwingMcQuack
      @DarkwingMcQuack 3 роки тому

      Nah, the racing today is better then ever. You’re just stuck in the past like a lot of older fans and can’t bring yourself to move on.

      @@DarkwingMcQuack I moved on about 15yrs ago, haven't given NASCRAP a dime since! It is a glorious thing that they've made a car & track's safer, hell it's practically impossible to break a fingernail in a cup car crash at 200mph today, but let me splain sumpn to you junior, you remove danger from motorsports, you've cut out it's Soul.
      Competition is racing heart, but danger is it's Soul.

    • @b.w.22
      @b.w.22 Рік тому

      @@notthatfatboy6519- I know this was from some time ago, but of course it’s true that, for real fans anyway, people not dying on these tracks is a wonderful improvement. But it’s more than that which has turned-off many: to me it’s making things so “even” by first legislating what could be done and now requiring teams buy these identical cars with nothing but stickers to differentiate them has taken some of the charm away. But more than anything, all of these rule changes and “shootouts” and playoffs designed to create drama and interest has turned me off. Imagine if every few years the rules of football were changed and now there were three sets of goalposts and you’d be DQ’d if you ran faster than whatever in the 40 yard dash, and the team names had been dropped and now it’s the Dallas Exxons, Florida Orange Juicers, and Washington Comcast’s. NASCAR going from the fastest growing sport in the 90’s to what it is now is not for no reason, nor is it merely salty fans looking at the past with rose colored glasses. You can disagree and you may think modern nascar is as appealing as it ever was, but you cannot say nothing has changed (even since the 90’s). For some, these changes really affected our view on a sport we were at one time really committed to. So sure, things change and a rigid grip on those “golden years” isn’t cool. But it’s more than safety which has turned many off.

    I always wondered why Richard Petty didnt take part in this then I realized he pretty much screwed over everyone in the room at one point or another over the years..

      Sweet Jesus, You obviously don't know wth you're talking about, hell man, Richard's best friend is sit'n dead center, Leonard Wood! Plus everyone knows Richard, Ned, Pearson, Baker, Squirer, Hall & even Bobby Allison are, or were great friends, until some passed on.
      So unless you know something we all don't know about, please enlighten us all with your endless knowledge of behind the scenes scoops of these Driving Legends 🤨

      @Slinger43 to be fair, Petty used to be the supplier of Chrysler products in the 60s and he would constantly send Bobby Allison faulty parts or the wrong parts and he'd have to use old equipment and most the time the car would break down during the race. Time heals wounds im sure but Petty really did do that and he also was one of the top protestors when Wendell Scott won his only race. Again, time heals wounds and he's expressed regret since, but back in the day Petty was no angel.

    Questioned his ancestry? I know where my imagination went when Bobby said that about Kale. In 2021 you would never race again. But I miss those days

    Today’s racing isn’t racing,it’s corporatize driving around a track. The good ole days are gone. Until racing gets back to 70’s philosophy it will never work,crowds are leaving and I give it 10 years or less and racing will be dead!

    Jesus Christ! Everyone you have to watch @46:30 - buddy baker falls out of the ambulance and goes driving a *Stock Race gurney* and almost gets hit after he had already wreck his race car. It’s hilarious because he’s okay! But out of all the guys of course it happens to the one with the best personality!
