American products are not the best. Their standards are extremely low. Especially food. These market places are not affordable to the vendors who were removed from the streets. 😢 I'm happy to see Gambians rising, I wish everyone all the best.🙏🏿

I don't buy ANY American food products. Most of their food cannot pass EU standards so they're trying to dump them in Africa.

I would think again from getting food items from America and the West. Don't trust them.

Those living outside the west have been conditioned to think food products from America are good. This is the mindset you have when you lack knowledge.

Nice new market for wealthier people selling products imported from abroad whilst Gambia govt drives poor vendors, selling local Gambian produce , from the road.
Where is the customer car park ?
I wish them the best of luck.

How is this going to improve matters? Most of the vendors won't be able to pay the rental costs. Why doesn't "Smile Gambia" ask these challenging questions instead of acting as a mouthpiece of the government?

Likewise the woman selling "wipes" in the market."Not only do they contain plastic and other non-biodegradable materials, but when these plastics break down into microplastics, they can enter the food chain and disrupt entire ecosystems. In addition, 93% of blockages in household sewers are caused by wet wipes."
