That was a great video discussion! You are right, we should focus on the doctrines of the gospel first. But, it is fun to look at these issues from time to time. If nothing else, it reminds us of how much we do not know and still have to learn. This should create a feeling of awe and humility in our hearts, thus encouraging us to continue our studies and our journy on the covenant path.

You can’t say “books of Mormon” and be grammatically correct because it is literally a title of a book and to change that title would change the title. So he is correct that the only correct way to say it is “copies of the book of Mormon.” But I will still always in forever say “Book of Mormon”s because I’m rogue like that. 😅
Agreed. Father in law can be Fathers in law because it is 3 separate words. The title of the Book of Mormon is a title and cannot be modified.
I honestly never heard anyone say "Books of Mormon" until watching "the best two years."
Saying it that way makes no sense to me, but I admit that it could be because I grew up with hearing "Book of Mormons" or "copies of...."
@@chijako7990 yeah I hate that part of the movie because of how it influenced the church and even the apostles to say it wrong. They did say the elect would be… deceived… 😂 but seriously You would never say “The Tails of Two Cities” referencing the Charles Dickens novel. Thus you cannot say, “Books of Mormon”. You would say “Copies of ‘A Tail of Two Cities’” and therefore grammatically also say “Copies of the ‘Book of Mormon’”.

Funny that you mention how to make 'the book of mormon' plural. In another of your videos, I posted this:
You can easily determine the proper plural usage of titles like the Book of Mormon by substituting the word book with any other noun, but keeping in mind that it is part of the title. For example, the first fantasy novel I read as a kid was The Sword of Shannara. How would you say there were multiples of that title? Certainly you would not say "I handed out Swords of Shannara." Neither would you say, "I handed out Sword of Shannaras." Clearly you would say, "I handed out copies of The Sword of Shannara." Put another way, the title of any book should be handled as a single entity and pluralizing it should not add confusion as to what is now plural. Did Mormon write multiple books, like the books of Peter, or the books of Moses? Or are there multiple Mormons who wrote a single book together? No in both cases. So don't alter the title when you pluralize it. Simple. To give one more example closer to the original, suppose there was a book titled "Son of Mormon". Would anyone try "Sons of Mormon" or "Son of Mormons" to indicate multiple copies? Clearly no.
Books of Momon: These are all the books, Mormon wrote (which is wrong). Copies of the Book of Mormon; these are all copies shared. Maybe this helps
Log houses back then were pretty meager. But I have seen plans of log houses today that are beautiful, sturdy and good protection from all the elements. But I don't think these plans of today were envisioned back then. I have seen them with beautiful peaked roofs with walls of windows and exposed beams, multi layers, split levels and plenty of room...but like I say, back then, they were built quickly and meagerly and not seen as a forever home. But if the early ones were pictured in his mind, I agree...they were not the prettiest structures.

I think what was being said about log cabins, is that it wouldn't be appropriate to build log structures that are meant to stand as one of the two capital cities of Christ's Kindgom through the mellinium. We should build nicer structures.
All the talk of unseen celestial worlds really got me thinking of dark matter. Matter that can't be seen. My ears always pick up when I hear overlap between the gospel and scientific explanations.
I thought about this as well. Mankind may be able to detect the gravitational impact of these other worlds but unable to see them. Makes sense considering what may be in our galaxy we can't see.
All these descriptions sound very much like the effects of a great gravity field. Like the event horizon of a black hole. It explains the time differential betweens God's time and our reckoning. And these references to a Urim and Thumin sound like a bridge or portal to another dimension. A tool with a name for a password. The ability of translated or resurected being to not be seen indicates that their physical being has been altered to another state of matter. This reminds me of something I had been told long ago. If you are confronted by a ghost other strange being, offer to shake their hand. If they are a good spirit, they will refuse because you will not be able to feel them. That would be considered decietful. However an evil spirit will shake your hand to decieve you. If you can feel their hand, you are dealing with a resurected or translated being.
My understanding of "structures" in the Terrestrial and Celestial levels is that they would "last forever" but not forcibly. That is that they will not deteriorate. But they can be changed, as with anything, according to the desires of the ones responsible for their maintenance or ownership. I have no idea where that came from but I believe it is a pattern that I have seen. Before the fall and after all was created, God created a garden for Adam and Eve. So, that implies "reconfiguration" according to desire or need. Just my thought.
Anyone else thinking black holes? My son was asking what's on the other side of a black hole. I told him maybe it's something good. And isn't a black hole created by a star blowing up or consuming itself?
So if we will be able to view lower worlds, assuming we are first raised to Terrestrial standing, then I guess that means that all higher worlds can also view us?

Regarding minor children with Telestial parents: I’d always heard that these children would either go up the “chain/tree” to grandparents, perhaps lateral to aunts/uncles…. But as the idea is we’re sealed within a family unit and that’s how we do temple work also this always made sense to me.
And-maybe-some of those who didn’t have children here could “receive” and raise children in this way…..
I’m not sure our homes would be caught up like the city of Enoch but…. If I were assigned a beautiful, antler free log home, I’d be perfectly happy with that.

I believe you are correct in this matter. The children will go to the closest worthy family members, eg., grandparents, great-grandparents. The children will become the grandparents eternal children.

Hey Jared, one thing to consider is the the definition and intent of the Lord when he says minister. The Lord gives us our agency so if we were visited by others that are not from our Earth they would be doing it in disobedience. This is the Earth where Christ himself was to come and so no other creations out of worlds without number would minister Priesthood power ordinances or learning to our earth with the blessing of our Father in Heaven. That does not mean we wouldn't have opposition from elsewhere. The book of Enoch shows this, and is being testified to in these days as the Lord said it would. We are Spirits having a Physical experience here and the laws of the natural Telstial are not the same as Terrestrial or Celestial. Those would seam super natural Telstial minded. Being Celestial minded is Spiritually Minded and supernatural as in Christ Rising from the dead. Most Telstial minded won't believe it. Not of this world.
If I were translated I would go check out the moon and the sun! For sure!

Re: B Young, JOD 13:268 - It is not necessary to take his statement of his belief about inhabitants on the moon and on our sun as prophetic. He did not say, “Thus saith the Lord…” He is simply sharing his belief about such questions, just as we are all free to do.
We all see through a glass darkly in this life. If Brigham Young maintained imperfect ideas about the planets and their possible inhabitants, as a result of trying to harmonize some of Joseph’s prophetic utterances, with existing knowledge about astronomy in his days, so be it. It is no slight to him or the Church if there was some imperfection in it.

My mind went to the same place, although I'd never thought of it before. Plants are living things with spirits also, so it seems to follow that they would be resurrected.
syntax, books of mormon refers to many different books written by mormon. copies of book of mormon means one book of mormon and there are many copies of it.
Things that have not been revealed from the foundation of the world will be revealed to "babes" (paraphrased).
I wonder if the "Dark Matter" that astomeners say make up a vast percentage of the universe, yet can not be seen nor measured, is actually celestialized matter.?
That's what I've always believed. Dark matter is non-mortal matter...
Dark matter is simply the result of an unbalanced big bang equation and inexplicable gravitational forces in the universe. It simply means we still have no clue as to how universal physics actually work. Really quantum mechanics dealing with fluctuations and entanglement is where you want to look for interactions of the unseen worlds.
Or the light of Christ that is in and through all things
They have found 2 Galaxies now with absolutely no dark matter, they believed never existed. check it out very interesting.
@@Kolby13Thanks, exactly. And there are plenty of folks who theorize the search for dark matter is the search for something that doesn’t actually exist (it’s the result of incorrect/incomplete physics) but keeps the massive amounts of funding flowing.

i think many many people will be 'terrestrial' level at the millennium. I am fairly confident that we can increase our potential with this period of time. I do not think it will be "ok you're celestial, you're terrestrial' the moment the millennium starts. what about people who's lives were telestial and only recently started coming around? don't underestimate the Lord's full plan, mercy and wisdom. the Lord knows our hearts, our potential, and our station beyond all of us.
If I say Books of Mormon it could mean several different books with different information in them. If you say copies of the Book... then it is clearly many copies of one book.

Yes, there are. This video was about angels that visit our world (angels themselves are from this earth) and Celestial worlds. But yes, there are other "earths" like our who are also going through a mortal experience and I assume have their own angels that are from their own planets. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I think the church likes us to say copies of the Book of Mormon because to say Books of Mormon indicates distinct books written by Mormon. I give the example of the Books of Nephi - there are four Books of Nephi. They are all different.
Correct Books of Mormon sounds like an encyclopedia lol. No one would read it 😅
