Maybe just mention the positives and then say we went in a new direction. I guess there was no way to talk about without mentioning why he left the band. Obviously the guy fit the band for about 7 years. And yes lots of people end up getting replaced for various reasons. R.I.P. Gregg Philbin. Go listen to R.E.O. T.W.O. and get the full Philbin bass playing extravaganza. A different band but a great band nonetheless.
