I love both, I feel that the plisson 22mm and Fine angel hair 20mm are great for travel and using with smaller pucks/samples with that smaller knots. I love the plissoft as a daily driver and at 24mm is still good for travel and not a big hit if it gets lost or broken.
Great comparison. $40 for Plisson is a fair deal, as far as a price can go. Badgers are three times more expensive and they perform much worse. No one was saying that was too expensive when the Razorock one was not existing. I always saw the lack of backbone as an advantage in the case of Plisson, as I never had problems loading hard soaps. I also like using boars. They just feel different. But when I want a quick shave, I'll pick the Plisson over any other brush anytime.
I completely agree. I don't regret spending $40 on my Plisson. It still looks great and works great. I have the use it and the Plissoft regularly and enjoy them both.
Thanks for the review, been waiting forever for the Stirling synthetic to come back in stock, went to Italian Barber just now and they still had the Plissoft, just ordered and will go with this instead for now.
+Leonard Ybarra Just came in the mail, I may not get another brush for a while, I'm just so satisfied with this,!handle, knott, ,love it!. Only thing I'd change is maybe add a logo to the side of the handle if I were to knitt pick
Actualy, both knots are made in china. I really think the plissoft is an improvement over the plisson. I think the Sterling kong brush is a plissoft but with a 26 mm knot and higher loft. The kong has the same backbone. its just a bigger brush.
I do wanna get the plisofy I own two of the original knots of the older plissons I got them at 30 dollars each at my local loccitane store I do love how its not that big and the handle feels very good quality and overall quality is grrat I love my two brushes but I still gonna try the rr plisoft
Thanks for the video Leonard. I've been espousing the Plisson synthetic brushes in their different iterations for almost 2 years now. I even have a custom handle with a Fauxmere knot from Chiseled Face Groomatorium which I love. However, I just noticed the barber handle Plissoft which has the same design I made in some customs with Bob Quinn of Elite Razor and it is highly tempting me. My question regarding the Plissoft though is in regards to a glue bump. Is that why the Plissoft knot folded over so high? I appreciate your time & feedback regarding any noticeable glue bump on the Plissoft brush.
PLEEEEEson..PLEEEEEEEEEsoft...sorry, couldn't help but point that out. I actually prefer the plissoft, more dense and backbone. I come from a boar background, so the plissoft suits my needs better.
Really really good. Mine is still perfect and it gets used by me a lot and its also the brush I let my kids play with in the tub. Doubtful I'd ever buy another brush.

I like the more backbone of the Razorock Brush.

+Tris51 I want to get the fine brush but cant justify spending the money on it right now.
Yeah I got it when it first released. I dont reach for it as much but like to use it for quick shaves, samples, travel.

+Andrew Semedo in my opinion you made the better choice. The size and everything of the plissoft is terrific.

Thanks for the very helpful comparison review.
I'm new to synthetic brushes, but I think I'm going to buy a Razorock Plissoft.
+The Spectre yeah i think that's a good choice. If you don't like it, you're only out $10. I'm sure you'll love it though. Thanks for watching.
Can't wait to see your ever-ready 300pbt in action!
+Connor Gmehlin youll see it plenty.
Thank you. Most informative person on yt. Recommend great forum?

Very good video review of the difference between these 2 seemingly identical synthetics.
+elviejoinez Thanks for watching!
Just got a Razorrock Plissoft brush, and am surprised how much water it can hold. I will have to wring it out before putting it to the soap or cream.

I did subscribe to channel and will buy Plisson brush...
Also what’s the best semogue brush for money and value??
Alan H
Great video. So what are you suggesting? The original Plissoft, or that with Bruce handle?
Great video. I did end up buying the Plisson.
+Kensurfs I dont think you will regret it. I love mine.
The plisson is in store for 30 bucks and still a great option, can save more money with coupons too.
+Tris51 I agree its a great option. I really love mine.
Love my Plissoft!
+Frank Dannetti yes wonderful brush!

+Brian Sharp That may be why it folded over so high. I never thought of it though as a glue bump, but I'm almost positive that's what it is.
+Leonard Ybarra, thanks for the reply. I appreciate your help.
Thanks !!! Great vídeo!!
Is the maggards brush the same as well? Thanks.

gotta go with the savings
How does the razorock plissoft hold up over time durability wise?
Really really good. Mine is still perfect and it gets used by me a lot and its also the brush I let my kids play with in the tub. Doubtful I'd ever buy another brush.
I'd go with the thirty bucks savings!
+Vernon Deaglepuppy hard not to go with the savings.
maybe I should get one of them razorock brushes before it's too late...
