    ✩ Why Natural Stool Bulkers & Softeners Are The Same: 00:43
    🍇 Remember that fiber ONLY exists in plant-foods. No animal-foods contain fiber, so no animal-foods can be a source of soluble or insoluble fiber. Most plant-foods contain a combination of soluble and insoluble fiber-they’re just usually richer in one type more than the other. For example, the skin of a grape is high in insoluble fiber, but the meat is high in soluble fiber.
    🌾 Soluble Fibers: recall that soluble fiber DOES absorb water (think about what happens when you add water to oatmeal)-when we think of starches, we’re usually thinking of foods that are high in soluble fiber. Examples include but are not limited to: oatmeal, pasta, rice, potatoes, white breads, yams, squash, bananas, apples, and mushrooms
    → High soluble fiber foods are best for treating both diarrhea and constipation! However, if you are treating diarrhea, it may be even more helpful to stick to bland soluble fiber foods like bread, rice, bananas, and apples to prevent further GI irritation!

    Very good advice - a lot makes more sense now - especially the role of the soluble fiber - will definitely give that a try - thank you.

    Thank you Doc for this vid and peristalsis hand movements 👍😆 I've been figuring out bloat reduction for about a year. The inflammation is so draining. Oatmeal without emulsifiers like guar gum (non instant) was definitely better for me.

      Hahaha I don't know how to not use my hands 😂 and I'm so sorry that you've been struggling with bloat reduction for so long. I know how draining "chronic" experiences can be, but I am SO glad the oatmeal + emulsifier combo has been helpful for you. And thank you for sharing what worked for you here, hopefully it can help someone skimming the comments section 🧡

    Metamucil vs Citrucil?

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 роки тому +1

      Metamucil has both soluble and insoluble fiber, where Citrucil has only insoluble fiber... I guess it depends on what you're hoping to accomplish! Insoluble fiber can be a great stool bulker!
