Dude idc what anyone else says, the amount of help you have given me is ridiculous. Not only that I can tell you are a good guy that loves what he does. When I was first getting started there was so much to learn and so many questions. You have simplified things for me and now I suggest anyone that starts in the HVAC field to come watch you. Keep doing your thing! Oh and my favorite video are the ones you do showing your day to day. Compressor changes, Diagnostics, and pretty much showing up and figuring out what’s wrong with the unit. And your thought process

He did pretty good for his 1st time, I give it a 10. Better than I was the 1st time. I live in kansas City. Brazing for me was a struggle at 1st, now that I have it figured out, it's second nature. Thank you for your content, a couple of your videos got me out of a jam.

Excellent video man- I have found that a #8 rosebud on the oxy/acy works just as good if not better than a turbo- they both are excellent tools though- sometimes you just dont want to lug a 2 cylinder kit under in the attic or on the roof (Phx-AZ). Love the channel man

Get it to cherry red and apply brazing rod as per the Harris Brazing Guide. Heat the male portion first then the female portion drawing the brazing material into the cup. My first time brazing I was afraid to get the copper too hot (cherry) so I had a hard time getting good flow. After a few joints I went for the higher heat and was amazed how the rod flowed so nicely.

You couldn’t see psi on that flow meter because it doesn’t have it, it’s in CFH and SCFH because your flowing not pressurizing.
experience is very valuable u cannot pay for experience.
Nice! Why would sometimes you burn a hole through the copper? Leave the flame too long? Happen to me once.
Have the settings wrong or have it on the same spot for too long
You’re not supposed to have the flame right on the center of the joint. You get a stronger joint if you have the flame on the fitting because it draws the filler up inside.

Taddy, just to get me started, I've done a lot of digging online and have had 2 or 3 hvac techs swear on the reliability of StayBrite 8. And, so i purchased myself a good Map gas turbo torch and stay brite + some silver-phospate rods for the regular brazing versus soft soldering with stay brite. Hvac techs I asked say that StayBrite 8 will handle vibration very well + you don't even need to float nitrogen because of the melting temp is so low and wont leave soot behind. What do you think, can I start myself doing basic residential HVAC this way and save like a thousand bux too in the process?

Just to add. Propane torch for the stay-brite 8 and mapp turbo torch for brazing rods and leave the big heavy bottles and setups behind for welders lol
@@taketinnn33 as an installer, if you ever have to make a claim with the manufacturer, they won’t cover the install if you use stay brite.
